Netflix Games: Mobile Gaming Portfolio
Netflix made a massive dive into mobile gaming, with the company initially thinking of creating a game streaming service for the platform to go alongside the film and series streaming available on the platform.
Initially launching in 2021, the service has now expanded to as many as 100 games available to access with their subscriptions, and in 2023 alone, it added as many as 40 titles.
The streaming company has banked on its famed shows and movies for its mobile game adaptations, with the likes of Stranger Things, Exploding Kittens, and more.
However, there is another Netflix-owned series that will soon be transformed into a game, and this is the hit Korean action, drama, and thriller title, Squid Game, coming later in the future.
Apart from the series it owned, Netflix also partnered with other video game developers to bring over their titles under Netflix Games to download, and soon, rumors claim it will evolve into a cloud game streaming experience.
The next from Netflix Games is under its Spry Fox acquisition, offering a sequel three years in the making with Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, coming this June.
