It does not matter if you are using iOS or Android. Apple and Google's collaboration now delivers unwanted Bluetooth tracker alerts that would notify users if they were tagged with the technology.
The companies both made it available with the latest software updates for the iOS and Android operating systems, giving users a chance to detect location-spying devices.
For several years since Bluetooth trackers came to light, there have been massive cases of stalking that plagued individuals from bad actors.
Apple, Google's Unwanted Bluetooth Trackers Alert Now Available
Apple's latest news release details its collaboration with Google to develop the "Detecting Unwanted Location Trackers" technology, which is now available for users.
Their partnership saw both companies seeing eye-to-eye to solve this stalking and tracking problem that is rampant across the world, leaving victims unaware that they are under tabs.
Cupertino explained that this new feature, which Google and others have worked on, will prevent the misuse of Bluetooth trackers that were originally designed for "tracking belongings."
With this installed, users will now receive alerts from their iPhones and Android devices that a tracker is in their possession, letting them know they are being tracked.

For the iPhone's case, the recognized tracker, which is not part of their Find My devices, could be identified and controlled to play sounds and find them within their belongings or clothing items. It would not be a problem if paired via Android or vice versa.
Apple said the feature is now available on iOS 17.5 and Android 6.0 or later.
Bluetooth Trackers Used for Spying on Location
Bluetooth Trackers, like Apple's famed AirTags, were made to help users keep tabs on their non-electronic devices that cannot be tracked, and it was made with good intentions.
Since then, there have been cases of lost goods being returned thanks to these small trackers, including helping the police solve a stolen car case as there is an AirTag inside the vehicle.
However, it was not long until bad actors used this technology to enact malicious and nefarious acts against individuals, using Bluetooth Trackers to stalk others for various reasons.
May it be an ex-partner or a person they want to keep tabs on to later steal valuables from, Apple and other companies faced lawsuits regarding stalking claims using their tech.
These companies responsible for the tech have introduced safeguards to avoid stalking and other incidents from Bluetooth trackers. Still, Apple and Google stepped up in partnership last year.
Their proposed alert technology is now available on iOS and Android. It will warn users if a nearby or dropped Bluetooth tracker is in their possession.
