"Today the LEGO Group unveils two new sets that allow space enthusiasts to go out of this world by exploring the art of engineering excellence behind the human space missions to get a glimpse of what's out there," Lego said in a press release.
NASA Artemis Space Launch System's Lego Version
The Lego Icons NASA Artemis Space Launch System set features 3,601 pieces and meticulously recreates NASA's Artemis Space Launch System.
It includes a multistage rocket with two solid-fuel boosters, a detailed mobile launch tower with retractable umbilicals, rocket support, and a crew bridge.
Additionally, this set incorporates a model of the Orion spacecraft powered by the ESA's European Service Module, complete with foldout solar panels.
According to the toy company, a printed plaque adds a final touch, making it ideal for decorating homes or offices.
The Artemis program, central to this Lego set, aims to explore the moon for scientific discoveries and technological advancements and as a stepping stone for future human missions to Mars.
Through Artemis, NASA will partner up with commercial and international partners to establish a sustainable presence on the moon, culminating in the historic landing of the first woman and person of color on the lunar surface.
