There is a new rumor behind an upcoming Fortnite x Marvel crossover again, and this time, it would bring the 'First Family' of the comic book world, the Fantastic Four, to the battle royale.
However, this still is a massive rumor from a renowned Fortnite analyst and leaker, as part of the game's roadmap development to bring new content to the famed shooter game.
Its release already has a date, but there is another factor to consider, and this is Marvel's upcoming Fantastic Four film, which is already rumored, one that will not be available until next year.
Fortnite x Marvel Crossover's Next Feature is the Fantastic Four
ShiinaBR released a new leak regarding an upcoming Fortnite x Marvel crossover that is set to arrive soon, and this is with the Fantastic Four coming to the island this year. The leaker claimed that they discovered this in Fortnite's roadmap, where a comic book cover of the Fantastic Four appeared from Epic Games.
It was said that this crossover will arrive in the next season, Season 6, one that is expected to drop by August 2024.
Two of the Fantastic Four's famed villains already appeared before on Fortnite, and this is with their prominent character and cosmic threat, Galactus, the main boss of the previous 2020 crossover, alongside the playable Doctor Doom, also known as their arch-nemesis. It is unknown if Galactus or Doctor Doom will return for this next drop.
What to Expect from the Fantastic Four's Drop in Fortnite?
The Fantastic Four revolves around four heroes from the comics and includes Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic; Sue Storm, a.k.a. Invisible Woman; Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch; and Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing.
However, there are also other family members throughout the years, including Peter Parker's Spider-Man filling in for The Human Torch, as well as Reed and Sue's children, best regarded as the Marvel universe's most intelligent characters, Franklin and Valeria Richards.
Fortnite x Marvel Crossover Through the Years
Epic Games' Fortnite is known for its massive relationship with comic book companies and franchises, with one of its top crossover partners being the Marvel Comics. In 2020, the first-ever Fortnite x Marvel crossover dropped, and this focused on several prominent and popular heroes and villains, mostly centered on the mighty Avengers, including Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, alongside X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy members.
Like the Fortnite x DC Comics crossover, the battle royale game also collaborated with Marvel to bring an exclusive run of the Zero War comics, which they also featured in the game. The Fortnite x Marvel Zero War content focused on putting special skin codes on comic books for its weekly drop, engaging users on both the comics and the game to receive the special in-game items.
Through the years, there have been drops once-in-a-while bringing more Marvel heroes and villains to the game, including the recent Marvel series on Disney+'s availability and the Across the Spider-Versecrossover.
The next-in-line for Fortnite x Marvel's crossover is Fantastic Four, with the first family in comic book history and one of the most beloved groups bringing their cosmic quirks to the island.
