The highly successful and celebrated Fallout series adaptation is now renewed for Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video, and this means that Lucy, The Ghoul, Maximus, and more character progression would still live on.
Despite seeing significant hype before it was released on Prime, it was not yet a sure thing that Fallout Season 2 may happen, but this confirmation ensures that the show continues.
*SPOILER ALERT FOR FALLOUT SEASON 1*
Following the fall of the New California Republic, Lee Moldaver, and Hank MacLean, there are a lot of grounds for Season 2 to cover, especially with Lucy's newfound mission to learn more about the secrets of the Wasteland and Vault-Tec.
Fallout Renewed for Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video announced earlier today that Fallout was officially renewed to return for Season 2 and continue what it built behind the world of the Wasteland and what it encompasses. Like the series adaptation's setting, Fallout's Season 2 also received its $25 million tax credit to film in the state of California, after filming it in various locations in Season 1.
"It's been one of the most spectacular projects we've ever been a part of. Jonah and team did such an incredible job, and we're overjoyed not just by the reaction to the show, but that we get to work with these amazing people even more," said Todd Howard, executive producer, Bethesda Game Studios.
What to Expect from Fallout Season 2?
The wrap on Season 1 was open-ended, as most of the main characters went on their separate ways except The Ghoul and Lucy, who both went to explore more of the Wasteland to search for answers about Vault-Tec.
On the other hand, Maximus may soon be getting his knighthood and dedicated T-60 armor for his highly-praised heroic actions for the Brotherhood of Steel, with the faction now possessing the cold fusion. It was also through Maximus that the New California Republic was destroyed, along with the death of its leader, Lee Moldaver.
Lastly, the show may bring more information about Deathclaws and The Enclave, with Hank MacLean's escape towards a thriving city in the middle of a deserted location on the Wasteland.
Fallout Series Relit the Franchise
The Fallout gaming franchise from Bethesda Softworks is yet dead, but it is not exactly living as the last game released to the world was 2018's Fallout 76. However, Fallout is best known for embracing mods and with the community creating new experiences for themselves, with the developers supporting this community-powered experience, making the games evergreen.
However, it was thanks to Amazon Prime Video's series adaptation of the video game franchise that Fallout saw a newfound interest, one that invites the new generation of audience and brings back those who previously played it.
It was warmly received by fans, gamers, critics, and those who were only introduced to the franchise via the Prime Video series.
Still, Prime's take on Fallout saw its unique story and direction, while staying faithful to what the game established for almost thirty years now since 1997. Fallout's Season 2 is expected to bring massive new stories, point-of-views, and explanations of how the world came to be, especially with the massive role of Vault-Tec, Brotherhood of Steel, and the expected first introduction of The Enclave.
