Samsung Galaxy owners are set to be delighted after they update their devices. Samsung has officially announced that the tech giant's coveted Galaxy AI is coming to other devices in line with the latest update, One UI 6.1.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 foldable phones, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy S22 series, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets will all get access to Galaxy AI, the premium mobile AI experiences that were first unveiled in the most recent Galaxy S24 series.
With the One UI 6.1 upgrade, more people worldwide can access the following well-liked Galaxy AI features: Note Assist, Chat Assist, Circle to Search with Google, AI-Generated Wallpaper, Generative Edit, Interpreter, Live Translate, and Edit Suggestion.

The update will be available in early May for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series.
Samsung's announcement comes after its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24, has done well since its release.
According to statistics from industry researcher Counterpoint Research, Samsung outsold Apple, which sold more than 17 million phones for an 18% market share, by selling more than 19 million smartphones in February.
Analysts attributed Samsung's return to the top of the rankings to robust sales in the US and European markets.
Samsung reportedly wants to include generative AI into Bixby, its voice assistant. This is just one example of how the tech giant utilizes AI in nearly every element of its gadgets.

Samsung's Bixby AI Aspirations
This is a step in improving Samsung's Bixby and possibly achieving parity with other leading chatbots, such as ChatGPT.
Won-Joon Choi, executive vice president of Samsung's mobile division, said he believed the company needs to redefine Bixby's purpose in order for it to be capable of generative AI in the future and become wiser.
This is because of the introduction of huge language model technology and generative AI. Choi said that Samsung is "working so hard" on developing generative AI capabilities for Bixby, but they could not specify when those features may become accessible.
Currently, Bixby can only be used to activate Samsung's Galaxy AI capabilities for users hands-free; it does not fully support AI in and of itself; rather, it serves as a means to activate Samsung's other AI tools.
Samsung's AI Chip
Additionally, Samsung recently revealed that the "Mach-1" artificial intelligence chip will be available in early 2025. An AI processor that might serve as Samsung's attempt to take on the recently revealed "B200" chip from NVIDIA, which is scheduled for release later this year.
The new chip will be put into production by the end of the year and launched in early 2025. It is anticipated to target edge applications with low power consumption requirements.
