Meta brings real-time search results for Threads, which was done after the company claimed that it would not add the said feature to the platform any time soon. With this rollout, only a select number of users are getting the chance to experience this feature, with the company confirming that it is still on limited availability for users, offering two options to see.
The ramping development of Threads sees massive features made available by the company from time to time, offering new experiences on the platform.
Meta Threads Get Real-Time Search Results Now
Users on Threads are now sharing that using the platform's search function will now give them categorized results, depending on what they are looking for: either the latest real-time posts made by others or Trending ones.
This was later confirmed by Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, who said that this feature is currently being tested on the platform so that some can experience this latest tech.
Searching on Threads before would only give users algorithm-based search results, meaning that it would show what is Trending, one that has received many engagements and interactions, and what is the most popular.
However, with real-time search results, users may get the latest and most recent posts from other users despite low engagement on the platform.

Only a Few Users Get New Threads Feature
As Mosseri regarded it, this feature is under testing, which led the company to roll it out to select random users for now. The Instagram CEO also said the company wants user sentiments and feedback regarding the real-time search results available on Threads.
Moreover, through this small rollout, users may find it easier to find relevant search results in real-time. It is unknown if it will soon be a permanent addition to Threads.
Meta and its New Features for Threads
In its bid to establish Threads as the featured app for all text-based information platforms, Meta introduced massive features on the new platform that make it on par with renowned rivals. Last month, it introduced the 'Trending Now' feature, which shows the topics that other Threads users are talking about on the platform. This feature was initially available in the US only.
Meta also introduced another feature in the spirit of real-time engagements: live NBA scores, which were available directly on the Threads platform during the basketball league's ending regular season. This feature made it easy for users to get updated on the latest scores of a game, like how Google shows the real-time scores during a match.
The company also introduced the so-called "Fediverse integration" recently, offering a more connected experience with cross-posting experiences on other platforms. In this new revelation from Mosseri, Threads now offers a chance to view search results in real-time, offering users a way to change what they are looking for and get the latest there is instead of what the algorithm suggests.
