London-based students are calling for artificial intelligence-centered education that focuses more on preventing fake nudes rather than solely focusing on test cheating. The calls came after fake nudes of students were created and spread, prompting an ongoing investigation by the London Police.
Pupils at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School started sharing photos of themselves that had been changed by AI. According to school officials, photos of kids have been altered with artificial intelligence from social media sites to make them appear nude.

Australia Jails First AI Offender
While in Australia, the first person in his state to exploit child abuse material generated by AI was a man from Tasmania. After obtaining, sharing, and downloading hundreds of pieces of illegal AI-generated content, the 48-year-old man was found guilty.
On March 26, 2024, the Gravelly Beach man entered a guilty plea for having access to and possession of child abuse materials after being taken into custody and facing charges.
As part of a Tasmania Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (TAS-JACET) investigation, the Australian Federal Police claim that this is the first conviction in Tasmanian history involving AI-generated material meant for child exploitation.
