Instead of buying or purchasing audiobook credits on Spotify, the company is now expanding the program to countries like Canada and more for free access to the experience.
However, this is only available for Spotify Premium subscribers, and this audiobook credit is a complimentary treat for them to access the audio-based media experience.
After exhausting the complimentary credits for the month, users may still choose to buy additional ones to continue their experiences, but other countries still have the need to do so.
Spotify Audiobook Credits Now Free for Canada, and MORE
Spotify announced that starting next week Tuesday, April 9, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand users will get the chance to stream audiobooks for free on the platform. This is part of their Spotify Premium subscription that ensures they also receive audiobook credits, offering as much as 15 hours of listening experiences for their preferred books.
This allows the user to avoid purchasing audiobook credits for as much as CAD 14.99, IRE €12.99, or NZD 19.99 for ten hours of access to their chosen literature.
Initially, this complimentary access to 15 hours of audiobook credit was only available for Spotify Premium users in the US, UK, and Australia.

That being said, users who are subscribed to Spotify Premium may get this free add-on from the company, offering a 15-hour audiobook credit to their plan. It goes alongside the access to music streaming and podcasts, which are available for unlimited hours per month.
The only caveat is, that the audiobook credit does not carry over for the next month despite not exhausting the full 15 hours.
Spotify's Audiobooks and Premium
Audiobooks are a way to listen to authors or renowned readers to read a book for the audience, one that would be helpful if users would not be able to pick up the literature to read for themselves. Back in September 2022, Spotify introduced Audiobooks as part of its streaming platform, offering a massive library of spoken content for their literary preferences.
However, the ongoing issue between Apple and Spotify led to the streaming platform pulling out audiobook purchases on iOS, with the Swedish tech giant offering an external link via emails for ways to buy it.
Last year, Spotify Premium users in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia were given instant access to over 150,000 audiobooks available on the app, free, as part of their subscriptions.
This freebie is now offering more countries complimentary access to the experience, with Spotify expanding it to users in Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.
This means that with their Spotify Premium subscription, they may stream a total of 15 hours worth of audiobooks on Spotify without incurring additional costs unless exceeding the time.
