Reports of Apple's plans to expand Vision Pro's availability to other countries are popping up, and now, the company is said to be inviting French retail employees to train for the wearable headset.
This only suggests that Apple is looking to bring the mixed-reality headset to France, with US retail employees first seeing reports about Vision Pro training when it was nearing its release.
The Vision Pro was not meant to be a US exclusive. Apple sought to expand its availability after its initial release and notable success.
Is Apple Vision Pro coming to France? Inviting Retail Employees for Training
WatchGeneration reported that Apple is now inviting retail employees for a "Training Product Event" later this summer for a new product that the company wants to bring.
However, while the company did not reveal the tech behind this, it was noted that the only product or device Apple has not yet introduced to the region was the Vision Pro headset.
The report suggested that the training sessions start this summer season, and it was said that it may take two weeks to complete them.
However, the US training also took two weeks before the company released the product in February for sale, availability, and the chance to demo it.
When will Apple Vision Pro be in France?
According to 9to5Mac, comparing the training process of the US Vision Pro release, it would take at least two weeks before it is made available, with the wearable headset suggestively coming by Summer 2024. It was also noted that visionOS 2 would pave the way to its availability in other regions as well, said Ming-Chi Kuo, with Australia and Japan believed to be the next in line.
Vision Pro Training and Availability
Apple's introduction of the Vision Pro said it would be exclusively available to the United States upon launch, despite massive international interest in the company's first wearable headset.
Back in October 2023, there were talks about a 'secretive' Vision Pro training for US Apple retail store employees to receive, which was to correctly handle the device's demonstration.
In China's case, Apple CEO Tim Cook previously announced the upcoming availability of the Vision Pro in the East Asian region, the first country to receive the headset outside the US.
During the China Development Forum in Beijing, the famed CEO confirmed this release, saying that it would arrive later this year in the mainland as part of its quest to maintain its market share.
Now, Apple is reportedly conducting the same retail training for French employees, suggesting the device's upcoming availability for demo in stores.
However, what good is a demo when customers cannot buy one? That is reportedly the reason behind this training, with Apple France getting the Vision Pro possibly available later this year, followed by two other countries.
