Hyundai took the stage at the New York International Auto Show to introduce the revamped 2025 Tucson SUV, showcasing a host of updates that enhanced its design and technology.

Hyundai's Revamped 2025 Tucson

The revamped 2025 Tucson builds upon its existing Sensuous Sportiness design identity with a more imposing front and rear appearance, refreshed lighting signatures, new alloy wheel designs, and a significantly overhauled interior.

U.S. dealerships can expect to receive 2025 Tucson 2.5L models by June, while 1.6L turbo hybrid and plug-in hybrid models are set to arrive later in the summer.

José Muñoz, president and global COO of Hyundai Motor Company and president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, emphasized the 2025 Tucson SUV's expanded appeal, highlighting its comprehensive eco-powertrain approach, which offers internal combustion, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models.

"The refreshed 2025 Tucson SUV expands the appeal of our full-spectrum eco-powertrain approach, offering internal combustion, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models in a popular compact SUV design," Muñoz said in a press release statement.

"With all-wheel drive offered on gas and hybrid models, customers can enjoy all-road, all-weather capability coupled with outstanding efficiency and an attractive variety of trims, including outdoor-focused XRT and sporty N Line models."

Inside the 2025 Tucson

The 2025 Tucson boasts a striking appearance characterized by Hyundai's 'Parametric Dynamics' design language and intricate surface detailing.

The exterior enhancements include a revised grille, redesigned front and rear bumper fascia, and updated daytime running light signature. Additionally, new alloy wheels, anodized aluminum badging, and an extended rear wiper blade enhance the vehicle's visual appeal and functionality.

Inside the 2025 Tucson, significant upgrades await, featuring a more spacious and technologically advanced interior design. The cabin makeover includes a redesigned panoramic curved display integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an enlarged 12.3-inch infotainment display for improved visibility and accessibility, according to Hyundai.

The center stack has been revamped with additional knobs and switchgear for easier driver control, while redesigned center console, steering wheel, and door panel accents enhance both aesthetics and usability. Furthermore, a new dashboard tray above the glovebox adds extra storage space for front-seat passengers.

Enhancements to the front fascia include reinforced vertical grille elements for a rugged and stable appearance and a simplified daytime running light signature for a bold presence day or night.

Adding bridge-type raised roof side rails enhances the XRT model's capability and ruggedness, catering to outdoor enthusiasts.

Premium models with shift-by-wire function now feature a column-mounted gear selector, freeing up space in the center console area. An expanded 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with faster processing speeds and improved graphics has been incorporated across all trims, accompanied by a wireless device quick-charging pad for added convenience.

To further elevate passenger comfort, Hyundai said that limited models come equipped with acoustic laminated front side windows to reduce interior noise, while available heated steering wheel and rear seat heaters offer additional temperature settings for enhanced comfort control.
