A new feature on TikTok is here for live streamers to enjoy, called the "Sub Space," it offers a new hub for content creators to engage directly with their subscribers and audience to join the discussions. This new space is meant for creators to get better community interactions and increase their traction with the subscribers, offering additional perks to the audience in connecting better with their favorite streamers.
This feature is certainly new for TikTok, but it is similar to what Meta introduced for Instagram called the "Channels" which offers more of a one-way thread of latest developments or announcements.
TikTok's 'Sub Space' Now Under Testing for Live Streamers
X user Jonah Manzano shared screenshots from TikTok's latest offer for all of its users, calling this the "Sub Space" which offers a new place for live streamers and their subscribers to join in on the fun together. In this new space where everyone can be part of the conversation, TikTok delivers an experience where streamers may interact with their audience.
Here, there are several features and tools to take advantage of including the ability to post threads of conversations, as well as creating polls for the subscribers.
Various interactive threads will be created by the live streamer for the audience to share their insights on, including asking for new ideas for their next content, opinions, and more.
Interact Better with Subscribers like IG's Channels
This new feature by TikTok is novel to the platform to connect better with the audience, but it is similar to its competitor over at Meta, with Instagram's famed Broadcast Channels.
On Instagram, Broadcast Channels would only have the artist or creator send messages or create the polls, alongside other collaborators which they allow to join in.
TikTok and its Latest Features for All
The latest focus on TikTok is growing more of the patronization and engagement by the public by offering a new video format for the renowned vertical-streaming platform. Now, it is encouraging more creators to upload their videos in horizontal or landscape format, and it is also offering additional incentives for high viewer ratings of the uploaded content.
Moreover, the company has already tested the possibility of adding AI-generated content for the uploads of content creators, particularly with the AI music that creators may craft with the app.
This was followed by the controversial pullout of Universal Music Group from TikTok, with Taylor Swift songs, and those artists from the label are no longer available.
For many years, TikTok rallied for a spot on the top social media platforms in the world, and this is because of the many intuitive features available for the creators and audience alike. Now, the so-called "Sub Space" is offering a new hub for live streamers and the public to better interact with each other, in a more personal approach that leaves the creator's DMs free.
