Flipper Zero and its Infamous Technology
When Flipper Zero first came out in the world, the goal of this device was to bring tech enthusiasts and the so-called "geeks" to have a pen-testing gadget they could use for identifying vulnerabilities and developing countermeasures. The Flipper Zero has multiple applications in the tech world, and it can also access a computer's keyboard and make it do certain commands.
Perhaps what made it so popular in the world is when it went viral on TikTok, with various users showing how the pen-testing device was used by the content creators to enact the different hacks it can do.
One of the most notorious applications of the Flipper was to spoof iPhones, using the vulnerability known as the "Apple BLE Spam" which spoofs the device and shows various kinds of pop-up messages.
It was once regarded as a tool for hackers that is powerful enough to bring significant campaigns to disrupt technological activities, also working as a car key to get inside a vehicle. In Canada's quest to fight against the growing number of car thefts in the country, it is now looking to ban the importation of such flippers, with the American-made Flipper Zero soon facing a ban in the Great North.
