The new update to the Copilot AI comes one year after Microsoft debuted its generative AI to the world, with the AI assistant now offering a cleaner and sleeker look, alongside new features. Previously introduced as Bing AI, Microsoft saw a long and winding journey with its machine learning developments, best known for having OpenAI as part of its team to deliver this technology for all.
With this update to Copilot, users will get a more intuitive experience with all generative AI needs, offering insights about what it has to offer for all.
Microsoft Copilot AI gets a Cleaner Look in Redesign
As detailed in the latest blog post from Microsoft, Copilot is seeing a significant upgrade today, and this is with the redesigned version of the famed AI chatbot from the Redmond company. Through this redesign, the AI assistant is now offering a cleaner and sleeker look, and this will help make the experience simpler for users to get straight to the point with the chatbot.
Microsoft also showcased the latest changes for Copilot in their latest Super Bowl ad, with the company offering a commercial for the first time in years to highlight the AI.
Both the web and mobile versions of Copilot get a redesign and it boasts of improved responses to fewer prompts by users, similar to the "less is more" ideology.
New Features on Copilot AI's Redesign
First off, Microsoft's Copilot offers a new carousel that displays the suggested prompts that it can do for a user, also highlighting the topics users may ask the chatbot for help. Additionally, this new version brings more generative features like image creation and editing, with the Designer experience also allowing users to tweak a generated image on the chatbot alone.
Microsoft's AI Developments
Going all-in for AI is a huge step for the many companies that offer this technology now, with Microsoft among the pioneers in this development alongside OpenAI, its trusty partner. The company later rebranded its AI chatbot to Copilot from being known as the Bing AI or Bing Chat, a new focus that embodies what Microsoft has to offer, and it is to assist users in their AI needs.
This massive move from Microsoft was seen when it killed its Cortana AI assistant, best known for being the feature on Windows 11 that rivals the likes of Apple's Siri, Amazon's Alexa, Samsung's Bixby, and more.
Since then, Microsoft delivered Copilot to various products of the company, including and more importantly with the Windows operating systems, both for Windows 11 and 10.
Copilot's arrival marked a new journey for Microsoft as its focus centered on improving more of the chatbots trained by OpenAI's renowned large-language model, GPT. In this redesign, Microsoft does not only change the looks of the chatbot, but Copilot also gets a more personal approach towards interacting with users, as well as offering more power and assistance for those in need.
