YouTube Tests RGB Feed to Bring Videos with Red, Green, Blue Hue to Watch

Enjoy a themed color experience on YouTube.

One of the features YouTube is testing now is how to turn your feed and bring certain colors to match, with the reportedly "RGB" feed that will curate videos in these specific shades of color. Instead of opting for the primary colors, YouTube brings the famed color palettes available now, also known as the RGB with red, green, and blue themes to bring to users.

Shades of these colors will now be available to watch on the feed, depending on your mood, and they also bring nearby palettes that match the themes.

The public has seen people who have OCD eat their favorite assorted candies and choose one color only like with M&Ms, Jelly Belly, and more, but it is coming over to the tech side with YouTube's latest test. Through an RGB feed, users will have a chance to curate the videos on their YouTube homepage to display only a specific color and hues, depending on their preference.

Initial tests were shared by Redditors and some questioned how this feature would work on the platform, with the pop-up message whenever launching YouTube asking users if they are "Craving something new?"

This new feature would arrange the feed "based on color" and this will help people explore more videos that suit their preferences on what to see.

Red, Green, and Blue Hue Videos Arranged

Seeing colors that are pleasing to one's eyes and prefer to see at all times may be a helpful way to engage more to spend time on the app, but since there are no explanations yet from the company, the reason behind it remains unknown.

That being said, the videos would be arranged in Red, Green, and Blue, along with their hues.

Red will also feature the likes of orange and yellow, while Green will bring yellow green down to its darker shades, and Blue will present light blue and shades of violet.

YouTube's Tests and Features

Most of the features that YouTube brings to its platform see testing beforehand, and this will help them 'test the waters' and gain feedback from their users on what to improve or keep. Recently, the Google-owned streaming platform brought a new feature that allows an uploader to 'Pause' the comments on videos which will help temporarily prevent any new information from pouring in.

Initially, as part of a test, YouTube began blocking users' streams whenever they were found running an ad blocker software or extension to skip the short commercials found in YouTube's free version. Later, it blossomed into a full-pledged system on the app that promotes subscriptions to its YouTube Premium or runs ads when using the free access.

New features will undergo tests behind beta testing phases or the like, and this will bring new experiences for all to see, especially with those shared by insiders or under the program. The latest of what YouTube has to offer is to bring a color-themed feed in the hues of Red, Green, and Blue, offering a way to curate the feed with the preferred shades of a user.
