The slice-of-life simulation games have been popular for a long time, but a new one called Life By You has brought the hype back when it was first announced, with gamers awaiting the title made to wait more as it announced a new delay. Paradox Interactive recently addressed this latest delay to the early access experience for the game, moving three months later than the expected release.
When it was first announced, Life By You was regarded by many to be another take on The Sims, EA's famed simulation game, also known for its long run before each release.
Life By You: Another Delay for Sim Game's Early Access
Paradox Interactive announced a new update for its upcoming sim game, Life By You, saying that instead of the original moved schedule to March 5, 2024, the game would now be available come June 4. That is a three-month longer waiting time for fans and those who expect the game's drop for next month, after the original move from September 2023.
The team's Rod Humble said that the game is currently working out the kinks and fixing bugs to bring an adequate version of the title for players, looking to bring a good launch once it releases.
Moreover, it would still be an early access experience despite this delay, with the team saying that they will announce its actual release version moving forward.
What to Expect from The Sims' Rival?
Life By You brings a new take on simulation games that offers a more rigid feel to these types of titles, with one of the most important aspects of it centering on dialogue. For a more immersive experience, Life By You offers more Creator Tools to build one's world, encouraging players to bring mods to the open-life simulation game and have control over the experience.
Simulation Games and its Experience
Escaping reality and being somebody else on gaming platforms have been a popular experience for a long time now, best known for mimicking real-life experiences in the digital world. There was once a game called The Sumerian Game which allows a person to experience managing a Mesopotamian city, with later experiences from the renowned franchise of the Microsoft Flight Simulator.
There is also the sim game called Stardew Valley available on all platforms like the Mac, Windows, Linux, Xbox, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch that puts users in the shoes of a character that inherits their grandfather's farm.
Arguably one of the most popular simulation titles in the world, Electronic Arts' The Sims franchise has proven time and time again that it captures what gamers want to see in sim experiences.
Simulation games have evolved since the late 1960s, with new experiences now available and under development to bring the metaverse and VR experiences with a slice of life to enjoy. The Sims is an excellent experience but Life By You gained popularity as it promises almost the same direction but with dialogue, but gamers who want to experience it would have to wait a little longer for its early access.
