MacBook Air M3, iPad Pro Coming by March, Now In Production from Apple

M3-powered devices are taking on the spotlight this 2024.

It is going to be a massive March blowout from Apple based on a new report from a renowned analyst, as the company is setting up significant releases of its new tech, with the MacBook Air and iPad Pro both sporting the M3 chips. Announced last year by Apple, the M3 is set to make its debut among the devices it will launch with, revamping the new experiences for users.

Last year, the world saw the first iterations of the M3 with the MacBook Pro and the rechipped iMac, with this release offering a new iPad after a year skip.

Apple's M3 is Getting a March Spotlight: MacBook Air

Year after year, Apple releases new updates for the MacBooks, particularly with the MacBook Air which is set to get a new upgrade from Cupertino with the M3 chip powering it. According to Mark Gurman's latest Power On Newsletter, Apple is updating the chipset used by the MacBook Air, still offering both the 13-inch and 15-inch variants to choose from, both equipped with the M3.

It was reported that there would be no drastic changes coming to the MacBook Air, using the same design and look it had before, but with the new and powerful chip.

However, it would release both screen size variants at the same time in this M3 revamp, unlike last year's 15-inch MacBook Air coming out a year later.

New Tablet is Coming with iPad Pro M3

Perhaps the most significant update coming is the iPad Pro M3, and according to 9to5 Mac, this would be the awaited revamp of the tablet, now featuring a 12.9-inch OLED screen. It will be joined by the upgraded Magic Keyboard with the aluminum base, with a new "landscape-oriented" front camera like what other Android tablets have offered.

A back-to-back March release is expected from Apple's MacBook Air and iPad Pro.

Apple's Focus on the M3

After several speculations about the fate of the iMac and its upcoming update from the company which was claimed to be coming in 2024, Apple beat expectations by releasing a new one with the latest M3 chip.

October 2023 brought the world one of Apple's special events known as the Scary Fast, right on Halloween day, introducing two computers given the M3 chipset, its latest 3nm development. Apple finally gave a revamp to the iMac with its 24-inch screen, and this came around two years after it first saw its M1 adoption from the Intel processors.

Additionally, there was the unexpected update of the MacBook Pro which features the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max options for users to choose from.

It was regarded by analysts and speculators that 2024 will be a brand new slate for Apple and its M3, and this centers on the other computers and devices that use its flagship M-series chips. The latest update from Gurman confirms this, with the MacBook Air getting the M3 treatment alongside its two-size variants, the 13 and 15-inch, with the iPad Pro also getting a new 12.9-inch screen with the 3nm chipset.
