Taylor Swift's Disturbing Deepfake, AI-Generated Porn

Last week, Taylor Swift went viral not because of the latest developments in her music or about her personal life, but because of the massive spread of generative AI-created deepfake images with explicit depictions of the artist. While these images were eerily lifelike, they are fake and the famed singer from Pennsylvania was the victim of having her face put in deepfake porn.

It remains unknown who created the pictures from AI and shared them across multiple social media platforms, with the culprit behind this defamatory media not yet revealed.

Moreover, it was regarded that Swift is looking to pursue legal action against the person or groups behind this incident, with the social media platforms, including X, looking to remove and block its proliferation.

FBI Arrests Prolific Swatter from California

Months after the FBI launched a massive investigation against a notorious swatter, the agency was successful in their recent arrest one of the most wanted swatter in American history. The criminal is known by their alias "Torswats," and it was revealed to be a 17-year-old teenager from California who was behind this.

Torswats is now facing four felony charges which include terrorism and prejudice-motivated acts, set to be extradited to Seminole County, Florida. Here, the criminal would be tried as an adult, as Florida has legislation to charge minors with the crime they did.

It remains unknown how much time Torswats will face regarding their committed felonies and crimes, with the FBI and other agencies looking to end swatting in the country.

Swatting plagued the country for a long time now, with many falling victim to the fabricated and fake reports sent to law enforcement agencies, drawing their attention to victimize innocent people.

Disney's HoloTile Floor for VR

Disney Research revealed its latest take on expanding more on the virtual reality experience with a first-of-its-kind treadmill floor known as "HoloTile." In the media conglomerate's take, this HoloTile will bring omnidirectional flooring that would provide as much as two people with the chance to immerse themselves without harnesses or restraints limiting their movement.

It was developed by a Disney Imagineer, Lanny Smoot, who is also set to receive an induction to the National Inventors Hall of Fame for his contributions.

The latest tech is meant to bring new immersive experiences for users, with its application set to arrive on Disney Parks, offering a modular and expandable HoloTile floor where users may enjoy unlimited distance to traverse.
