Creality calls out to all 3D printing enthusiasts as the company introduces another pacesetter, the K1C. This new prosumer machine is the true champion of speed and skills, with better filament compatibility, an AI camera, a reliable extrusion system, and more. It also boasts the same 600mm/s maximum speed and out-of-the-box experience from the K1 series 3D printers, which have caused a huge craze among consumers since early 2023, making high-quality and high-speed printing accessible to the market.
Creality is a global 3D printing pioneer recognized for its fast 3D printers, handheld scanners, and mighty laser engravers. The company introduced AI-assisted printing with its K1 speedy 3D printer. The K1C takes after the FDM (fused deposition modeling) flagship with improved printing capabilities.
Optimized Printhead for Carbon Fiber Printing
The K1C boasts an all-metal extruder kit capable of 1000h clog-free extrusion. It is enhanced by a bolster spring and ball plunger, which supports the extruder to grip the filament firmly so the latter won't slacken off. The 3D printer also features a tri-metal "unicorn" nozzle, integrated with a break, to block heat creep, keeping the printing stable and steady as the filament oozes out.
The nozzle is also tipped with hardened steel. It can handle carbon fiber-filled filaments like PLA-CF and PETG-CF, which are widely used in industrial printing and known for their mechanical strength and dimensional stability. This proves the K1C is as capable as a professional 3D printer in the market.
The K1C takes the excellent cooling system of the K1 even further with balanced cooling fans. The hot-end cooling fan is for minimal heat creep, the part cooling fan is for instant hardening, and an auxiliary fan is included to improve the overall print quality. The first two are now dynamically balanced, so they are less likely to wobble, minimizing ringing or ghosting, quality issues that can compromise the visual appearance of the printed 3D model.
Out of the Box Experience Without Letdowns
The K1C is pre-assembled for plug-and-play. Newcomers can let go of their fears of assembling and setting their first 3D printer, a sentiment even the CEO of Creality understands. The company prioritizes user-centric designs to leave the complexity of the 3D printing experience, a statement he shared during the company's 9th Anniversary celebration.
The boot-up guide operates as if you're turning on a new smartphone. With one tap, the 3D printer auto-calibrates, performing a self-test to ensure its full functionality and delivering its promise of an out-of-the-box experience. No more frustrating paper tests.
The K1C offers the power of artificial intelligence with an observant AI camera. It watches over the printing for you and actively sends an alert if an error occurs. You don't have to monitor its process from start to finish because the camera is great for real-time monitoring, even time-lapse filming.
Faster and Better than Standard 3D Printers
If it ever gets too loud, you can switch to silent mode, where the noise coming from the 3D printer is less than 45dB, equivalent to the sound of a page being turned. The K1C features a 600mm/s max printing speed, similar to the first AI-assisted FDM printers of Creality, the K1 and K1 Max.
It can print in just 0.03 seconds, faster and better than standard 3D printers with a maximum speed of only 200 to 500mm/s. It also inherits the lightweight and agile CoreXY motion structure of its predecessor, promising a thrilling speed without affecting the print quality of the 3D model.
The K1C also contains a built-in active carbon filter that cleanses the fumes that are dangerous for humans to inhale. It purifies compounds and particles that can also potentially affect the creation of your 3D model. The filter minimizes the chances of stringing or warping, common problems that are factored into the design of the high-speed 3D printer. Creality assures you can stay in the same room as the device prints.
You can also print in batches. If an individual print fails, you can simply exclude the print from the batch by accessing the LAN device page of Creality Print, a function that will soon become available in Creality OS.
The K1C is more secure with a damper hinge and pre-installed damping pads. It also has a reinforced cable chain, an anti-shatter film, and a silicon wiping strip, design features that complement the stability of the high-speed 3D printer and enhance the printing experience.
Superb Hardware & Software Ecosystem
Both the hardware and software of K1C are open-source. It has a solid frame using die-cast parts with glass sides and a transparent lid. The Creality OS, based on Klipper, offers advanced functions, linear advance, and input shaping. You can customize the software or join the open-source community through the Creality Cloud and discover new ways to utilize 3D printers. You can also share your designs on the platform. You can get free 3D models and enjoy cloud printing.
You also get access to the slicing software Creality Print, which provides plenty of features like smart cooling, optimal, retraction, and slim tree supports. The K1 also has a lot of quality optional accessories to make the 3D printer even more powerful, which are hyper filaments, textured PEI plate, and filament dryer.
