A new set of renders for the Pixel 9 is here, and it brings to life the next-generation smartphone from Google, offering the latest look of the upgraded device coming later this year. In this new iteration of the Pixel smartphone, there are massive notable changes which was said to be what is expected of the device, now offering flat edges like the iPhone 15 and Galaxy S24 series.
This fresh look of the Pixel 9 changes the long-retained look of the iconic Pixel series, with Google allegedly taking a different design scheme for the smartphone.
Here is Pixel 9's First Look from New Renders
The "new year, new me" mantra reached Google based on the latest set of renders released by OnLeaks and My Smart Price regarding the upcoming Pixel 9 series.
In this first look of the Pixel 9, the smartphone is now sporting a sleek new body that prioritizes edges over curves, with rounded corners for the device. It is highly reminiscent of the iPhone's iconic body from the iPhone 12 until the present, and also similar to Samsung's Galaxy S24 series' new look.
Moreover, it revamps the rear camera array which portrays a pill-shaped setup featuring the lenses, flash, and sensor behind.

Additionally, both the power button and the volume controls are on the right side of the device, as per the leakers, with the SIM card slot appearing below the device, beside the USB-C port. The Pixel 9 Pro will feature a 6.5-inch display, smaller compared to the 6.7-inch screen of the Pixel 8 Pro.
It is unknown if Google will still offer multiple variants for this, and what specific design it will deliver for the Tensor chips to power this next-gen smartphone.
Google's Pixel 9: What to Expect
There are already speculations and rumors present for the upcoming Pixel smartphone for 2024, with Google coming in with its massive AI presence to deliver with the smartphone. First off, Pixel 9 will get a dedicated assistant called the "Pixie AI," and it will replace the renowned Google Assistant in offering their services and fulfilling the owner's bidding whenever needed.
For this year, Google plans to expand more of its AI development to deliver the "most advanced, safe, and responsible AI" to the world, thanks to Sundar Pichai's latest internal memo. Here, the Google CEO also regarded the massive transformations and upgrades that will arrive to its other products including the Google Cloud, Workspace, and personal computing platforms and devices.
Pixel 9 is already expected to arrive this year, and with Google's self-developed SoC known as the Tensor, the smartphone will deliver more of what the company plans to offer, with AI at its forefront. It remains unknown if the Pixel will follow the footsteps of the S24 series with mobile AI integrations, but for now, the new set of renders offers what to look forward to in this revamp of the Pixel series.
