The latest development in the massive preorders of the Apple Vision Pro is the ability to add accessories on the purchase, and for those who are buying prescription inserts, there is now a need to verify them. Apple is doing this health tech aspect to verify the prescription lenses via ZEISS, as it is the company responsible for supplying future models with the correct ones.
Apart from the device itself, the Apple Vision Pro offers massive accessories, and while users cannot use their glasses when wearing it, prescription lenses are easily available for use.
Apple Vision Pro: ZEISS to Verify Prescriptions for Preorders
A required extra purchase when preordering the Vision Pro appears, and it is with the ZEISS readers or prescription lenses that will serve as an attachment for the headset. Apple's design of the Vision Pro does not allow enough space for users to wear a pair of glasses while using it, unlike other wearable headsets that are spacious to let users opt for this experience.
That being said, Apple claimed on their preorder page that for those opting for prescriptions, users need to submit additional information or certifications regarding their eyes' grade, requiring it to be shared with ZEISS.
Opting to purchase this accessory will require users to answer questions on the preorder page, and it will help determine what kind of lenses apply to them.
Vision Pro: Use Corrective Lenses for the Mixed-Reality
According to Apple, Vision Pro supports several prescription and vision condition needs, and wearing contact lenses may defeat the eye tracking features of the headset, suggesting to still opt for the add-on lenses. These ZEISS lenses will magnetically attach to the headset and will be easily swappable.
The ZEISS corrective lenses are available starting at $99 for the reader's lenses, and $149 for the prescription.
Apple Vision Pro's Release and Early Demos
The Apple Vision Pro was confirmed by the company when it updated the website's preorder schedule, to drop by the stores come February 2. It is available in the online and retail Apple Stores, but it is exclusive to the United States in this first release of the wearable headset, offering the device starting at $3,499.99 with more premium prices for upgraded experiences and add-ons.
With this release, Apple's Vision Pro is available in-store and will not only be for display or kept away from the public as the company plans to have users demonstrate the device. However, users need to bring extra patience to get this one-of-a-kind experience from Cupertino as it was said that initial preparations will take quite some time before the 25-minute demo.
Vision Pro is coming, and best be prepared for everything that this spatial computer would offer as it would be a significantly expensive purchase and would need to be specific in its every aspect. Apart from the Light Scan that verifies your head's dimension for the headband, Apple also requires you to either opt for reader's or prescription lenses, with ZEISS to verify your eyes' needed grade.
