Bard brings its main feature of being an AI chatbot that users may talk to or ask whatever they have in mind, and it could also draft messages, suggest books, identify images, offer full recipes, and more. Other features include the ability to give users a 'camping packing list', and dinner ideas, asking the chatbot to create a dish or recipe from one's declared ingredients available.
Google and its Generative AI Features
In last year's massive dive into AI developments, Google has focused its efforts on its integration of the Bard AI chatbot into its different apps, products, and services. This includes the Google Workspace suite which heavily benefitted from the integration including the likes of Docs, Gmail, Drive, Sheets, and more, including its search engine, YouTube, and Google Flights.
Towards the end of the year, Google also released its multimodal AI foundational model called the Gemini AI, and it is said to reinforce the internet company's efforts to offer a more intuitive experience for users. And while speculations and rumors expected the Gemini to arrive by 2024, Google stepped up and released the AI model before 2023 ended.
Google's new multimodal foundational model will power its existing features and services available, with Bard one of the recipients of this upgrade that promises significant improvements to its capabilities. Bard's arrival to Google Messages' current beta version will help ensure that users get the experience when communicating with others, offering different experiences available.
