Microsoft has introduced Copilot Pro, a premium subscription priced at $20 per user per month, targeting individuals, creators, and power users.
This subscription offers accelerated performance and creativity capabilities, providing priority access to GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo during peak times. According to TechRound, Copilot Pro subscribers gain efficient generation of answers, content, and AI images, along with access to Copilot in select Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Copilot Pro introduces advanced features, including 100 boosts per day for AI image creation with DALL-E 3 in landscape format.
Expanding accessibility, Microsoft launches Copilot for Microsoft 365, focusing on businesses. The 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans has been removed, offering flexibility to businesses purchasing Copilot for Microsoft 365.
"Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now generally available for small businesses with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard. Customers can purchase between one and 299 seats for $30 per person per month.We're removing the 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans and making Copilot available for Office 365 E3 and E5 customers (a Microsoft 365 license was previously required)," Microsoft stated on its blog.
AI-Powered Enhancements
Integration with Microsoft 365 apps allows Copilot for Microsoft 365 to streamline tasks like document creation, data analysis, presentation design, inbox management, and meeting summaries. Yusuf Mehdi, Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, highlights Copilot's versatility, catering to individual, small business, and enterprise needs.
"Whether you're looking to get started with Copilot for free, want to supercharge your Copilot experience with Copilot Pro or are an SMB or Enterprise customer looking to increase your productivity in new ways with Copilot for Microsoft 365, there's a Copilot experience for everyone," he said, as quoted by TechRound.
Notably, A Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription is required for Copilot Pro access. Microsoft introduces enhancements, providing Copilot Pro users with 100 daily "boosts" in Image Creator from Designer for faster image creation, per PCWorld. The subscription also promises a forthcoming feature allowing users to create custom Copilots tailored for specific topics.
Microsoft also extends its Copilot offerings with Copilot GPTs tailored to specific interests like fitness, travel, and cooking. These GPTs, accessible through the web client, aim to deliver detailed answers.
Upcoming Developments
A free mobile app for Copilot is now available on Android and iOS, featuring GPT-4 and DALL-E 3 for image creation. Users can sync chat history across mobile, PC, and the web. In the coming month, Copilot will be integrated into Microsoft 365, which can create content on mobile and enable exporting to Word or PDF documents.
Similarly, the company reveals that Copilot language support has been rolled out to Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian by mid-2024, TechCrunch reported. Microsoft's continuous improvement strategy for Copilot aims to meet the evolving needs of users, with plans to introduce more features and functionality in Copilot Pro.
