YoHoverse (formerly miHoYo)'s Genshin Impact first arrived on PC and mobile in 2020. The following year, the blockbuster open-world role-playing game (RPG) arrived to PS5 which was expected by many.
However, a different kind of horror is haunting the Nintendo Switch gamers. When the developer promised to release the game on the console, it only remained as promised until now.
Recently, fans are growing disappointed about its imminent Switch launch. Some are sad while others are losing hope that they will not see Genshin Impact anymore on another handheld (other than mobile).
Is Genshin Impact Still Coming to Nintendo Switch?
HoYoverse previously confirmed that Genshin Impact was indeed arriving to Switch. It even released an official trailer for the Switch version of the game in 2021, according to Pocket Tactics.
Genshin Impact was so successful that it managed to hit two billion in revenue in its first year. Now in its fourth year, Switch gamers are still hoping to see it in 2024.
According to a Reddit user, it's easy to pretend playing Genshin Impact on Switch. The commenter said that all you need is a controller to make it look like a Switch. The person added that there's no real need for HoYoVerse to launch an actual Switch version for Genshin at this point.
As Dexerto spotted, many fans are voicing out their disappointment on social media. It's true that Switch users are hoping to see Genshin on a Switch screen, but it appears that HoYo has broken its promise-for now.
Another user said that Genshin Impact might come to the Switch successor which is the rumored Nintendo Switch 2. Until now, he's been waiting for HoYo to drop the announcement about the game.

Switch Gamers Are Losing Hope Over Genshin Impact's Debut
As of now, HoYoverse is still on its silent treatment about Genshin on Switch. However, in a recent interview, it said that the game is still "in development."
So much for that, the next platform release could give us the answers we need to hear. For solid Genshin fans who want to see it on a new screen, it's becoming a mess to wait any longer.
"I don't think they want to run/look worse than BOTW, which is very optimized for switch hardware so it will be hard to match," another Redditor wrote.
It might take some time for us to witness the beauty of Tevyat in another spectrum. Until there's no word from HoYo about Genshin, Switch gamers will be stuck in an endless loop of waiting-and hoping for the game.
