Pokémon Horizons, Highly Anticipated Animated Series, Faces Unexpected Delay on Netflix

"Pokémon Horizons" faces a Netflix delay, now premiering on March 7 globally.

Pokémon fans around the world will have to wait a little longer for the release of the highly anticipated animated series "Pokémon Horizons," VGC reports.

The Pokémon Company has confirmed an unexpected delay in the series' Netflix release. Originally scheduled to debut on its streaming platform in the United States on Feb. 15, the series will now hit screens on Mar. 7.

'Pokemon Horizons' Coming to Netflix in March

The delay was announced over the weekend, and while some fans were surely disappointed, the Pokémon Company assured everyone that the wait would be worthwhile.

"We know fans around the world are looking forward to local debuts of the highly-anticipated, new animated Pokémon series - and it's almost here! Get ready for adventure with Liko, Sprigatito, and friends in the world of Pokémon!" they stated.

This setback, however, is not the first time "Pokémon Horizons" has been introduced to the public. The series premiered in the United Kingdom in December and is currently available exclusively on BBC iPlayer and CBBC.

The decision to postpone the Netflix release in the United States is intended to synchronize the global premiere, ensuring that fans all over the world can embark on this new adventure together.

Join Liko and Roy

"Pokémon Horizons" introduces two protagonists, Liko and Roy, who travel through the captivating Paldea region with their Pokémon partners, Sprigatito and Fuecoco.

This setting corresponds to the recently released Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games, giving fans a new perspective on the Pokémon universe.

Notably, this is the first mainline animated Pokémon series in over 25 years, following the conclusion of Pikachu and Ash Ketchum's legendary journey.

In Other News

While fans wait for the animated adventures to premiere on Netflix, the Pokémon community has been abuzz with another piece of news - this time from Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players recently discovered a new item duplication glitch within The Indigo Disk DLC. The Indigo Disk DLC, which will be released in November 2023, adds depth to the storylines of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

GameRant reports that the glitch, discovered in the Terarium, is associated with specific Pokémon, abilities, and moves. In a recent video, YouTuber Osirus demonstrated how players can duplicate and steal held items with a well-coordinated effort.

The glitch revolves around a Level 100 Ditto with certain characteristics, a large Pokémon holding the desired item, and a third Pokémon with the move Trick.

The process takes place in the Terarium's Savannah Rest Area 2, where players can encounter a Smeargle and set the glitch in motion. However, Osirus acknowledges that this glitch may be temporary, as developers typically patch such exploits quickly to ensure fair gameplay.

While the item duplication glitch is not as simple as others in the past, it does provide players with a strategic opportunity to amass valuable in-game items.
