Confirmed: Bruce Jenner Transitioning Into a Woman

Bruce Jenner will soon be living life as a female as sources close to the reality star and Olympic medalist claim he is now transitioning to change sex.

Insider sources cited by the celebrity news magazine People say Jenner has been quietly and slowly undergoing a huge personal change to allow his family to gradually adjust to the idea of him becoming a woman.

"Bruce is transitioning to a woman," tells a source close to Jenner to People. "He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he's doing. He's in such a great space. That's why it's the perfect time to do something like this."

The gradual evolution of Jenner's physical appearance has been the subject of speculation over the last few months. Recently, the 1976 Olympic decathlon winner was photographed with longer hair, manicured nails, hair-free legs, and what others say are fuller lips.

The source says Jenner's family is also transitioning with him. His six children from his three marriages - Burt, 36 and Cassandra, 34, with first wife Chrystie Crownover, Brandon, 33 and Brody, 31 with second wife Linda Thompson, and Kendall, 19 and Kylie 17 with third wife Kris Jenner, who finalized their divorce papers last month, and his stepdaughters from Kris' previous marriage - Kourtney, 35, Kim, 34, Khloe, 30, and Rob, 27, all appear to be supportive of his transition.

"It is an intense thing. Of course not everyone is 100 percent on board. Different people have different reactions," says the source. "But everybody loves him."

According to another source, Jenner is documenting his transition that will be aired through a separate reality show.

"It will air when he is ready to be open about his transition," the source says. "But he's acting more and more confident and seems very happy."

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about her stepfather's decision, Kim Kardashian said she had never seen Jenner happier than he is at the moment but she is leaving it to him to talk about his transition when he feels comfortable.

"He's our dad so we support him no matter what, and I think when the time is right, he'll talk about whatever he wants to talk about," Kardashian said. "I will say I think Bruce should tell his story his way. I think everyone goes through things in life and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right."

Jenner's son, Burt, says his father is "doing awesome."

"He has come out to those closest to him. He's so happy and excited. He gets to lay down a huge bag of bricks. He's been through a dark period and is coming out on the other side," says the source. "[The family] really wants to empower him to tell his story so that hopefully he can help other people too. That's the goal."
