Nightmare Forge Gives a Glimpse of Mickey Mouse-Inspired Horror Game 'Infestation 88'

Mickey Mouse is not child-friendly in this game.

With Disney's copyright for the earliest Mickey and Minnie Mouse versions having expired, it's time to see their original illustrations in the public domain.

With Steamboat Willie's entrance, a new horror game inspired by Mickey Mouse has emerged. It's not here to give smiles to the children; it's here to send chills down to your spine.

Infestation 88 is a new game that will allow you to play with your three friends. Do you have what it takes to survive this ghoulish adventure with no other than Walt's favorite Disney character?

Seeing how your favorite cartoon characters thrive in their different versions is somewhat of a unique experience for fans. What if you see Mickey Mouse in its "killer" pose and want to haunt you in your dreams?

According to IGN's report, Nightmare Force Games revealed the trailer for "Infestation 88." It's intended to scare you and survive the whole night running from the ghoulish mouse.

"In the year 1988, what was thought to be an outbreak of rodents in various locations morphed into something far more sinister," Nightmare Force describes.

There are times when you need to stop pitying the mouse and just fight him. There is a far more sinister adventure that awaits you once you enter this horror game.

Sometimes, all you can do is to hide inside a closet. You need to think in advance about how to escape from the real Disney evil. You can utilize the CCTV cameras for your own safety.

'Infestation 88' Release Date

Seeing Mickey Mouse wearing a Steamboat Willie-like outfit can be intriguing. For fans who are longing to see their childhood characters become the beasts they want to be is another thrilling experience.

For instance, "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" has given the regular show a more twisted vibe away from its funny side. Who would have thought that this yellow bear would have transformed to be a serial killer someday?

As for "Infestation 88's" release date, there's still no official date for fans to hear. However, the developers already hinted that the horror game will be playable on PC via Steam, per HypeBeast.

If you still can't get over your Disney nostalgia, you can try playing another game. This is not a survival horror game, but rather a first-person shooter.

"Mouse" features a vintage touch for FPS lovers who love to shoot enemies in grayscale. If you have played "Cuphead" before, the animation is quite similar. Just imagine the dull color and cartoonish design of the characters and environment.
