Non-Samsung Users Can Use Samsung Galaxy S24's AI Call Feature: Report

Samsung did the right thing with Galaxy S24's AI call feature.

Samsung has been exploring the strength of AI when it comes to its smartphones. This time, fans have been wondering what's waiting for its Gauss AI model that will be rolling out to the Galaxy S24 series.

According to a report, the AI call feature will not be exclusive to Samsung phones. Even non-Samsung handsets are expected to have the ability to translate a phone call in real-time.

As first reported by Nikkei Asia, the AI Live Translate Call Feature which is anticipated to be first available to Galaxy S24 phones will also be accessible by other models.

The feature, according to the publication, comes with English and Spanish support for now. However, the South Korean tech giant will release support for other languages such as Japanese and Korean soon.

The best part here is that the Galaxy S24 lineup is not the only one that will benefit from this AI feature. Even non-Samsung phones can use it, according to Android Headlines.

In short, even though the person on the other line is using another Android phone, the function will still push through.

Many users think that Samsung did great on this job by not limiting the AI call feature to Samsung phones. Restricting the call translation feature will make no sense for other phones.

Of course, since it's a new feature, the older Samsung handsets might not get it. However, the company will roll out an updated One UI version for the next-gen lineup.

When is the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Coming?

Before Christmas, Tech Times reported that the Galaxy S24 series was leaked to debut on January 17, 2024. Sources said that it will be revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California.

This was supported by Evan Blass' past tweet which was now deleted due to copyright issues. The leaker said that there's a countdown timer for the upcoming flagship and the event will start at 3 AM Korean time.

There's a possibility that Samsung requested X to take down the post so people won't see any traces of Galaxy S24 for its upcoming launch. However, netizens were quick to save the post before it was removed.

Earlier this month, we reported that another leak pointed to Galaxy S24's design. This time, the update was specifically addressed to the Ultra version which was purported to have a "sleek design with ultra-thin bezels."
