Samsung: Battery Protection is Now Here, How to Activate the Feature

The Battery Protection will help regulate your usage and more.

In what was supposedly dropping next year, Samsung's Battery Protection feature is now here, and it was discovered hidden away in the current One UI 6.0 codes, allowing users to check it out now. In a recent patch on Samsung's renowned interface, the new feature was discovered, but it is not exactly seen in the interface, hidden away in the different apps.

While it is not exactly widely available yet, that does not mean that it is not here, and with a little tinkering, users may experience what it has to offer for the devices.

9to5 Google reported the latest discovery on OneUI 6.0, and this is with Samsung's Battery Protection feature that it plans to unveil in the next version of the system.

The Battery Protection feature is slated for One UI 6.1, and it was previously leaked before about what it offers the user in their smart devices.

However, it was reported that the recent patches in One UI 6.0 have already brought this feature, but it is not exactly easily accessible for all.

Nevertheless, this will take users to the Battery Protection menu where users may choose what they want to manage, especially with the charging.

How to Use One UI 6.0's Battery Protection

In the latest patch, users may head to the "Activity Launcher" app and turn on the "BatteryProtectionActivity," to activate the feature. Once done, users will be taken to a dedicated menu where the Battery Protection appears, and here, may opt for setting the limits through Basic protection, down to their preferred setting like Adaptive protection.

Basic ensures that the battery never goes down 95 percent of charge, and Adaptive will pause fast charging at 80 percent and slow charge until it reaches full.

Battery Protection and Health

Batteries are one of the key elements in a smartphone, and this is because this is where the device draws the power from to ensure that all functions may be used by a user. While batteries are one of the cheapest components in a device to replace, there are still many ways to prevent this from happening and avoid the need to open it up as long as you own the device, one that was popularized by Apple with its Battery Health.

While Samsung already offers a battery management feature, one that prevents the device from charging past 80 percent when it stays plugged in after reaching the percentage, there are still more plans from the company to improve this.

The upcoming One UI 6.1 version from Samsung will debut soon, and while it is not yet widely available, there is now a glimpse to enjoy the feature.

One UI 6.0 already gave Samsung users the Android 14 experience, and now it is continuing to offer top features to users, despite being planned for its next update. In the recent patches, Samsung already provided a glimpse into what there is to expect from the Battery Protection tech, with the feature not yet full-blown to bring what it offers, but already helpful with user needs.
