Reviving the good, old days is massive in today's age, and while Apple has no plans to create a retro PC inspired by the original Macintosh, the next passable thing available now is the Ayaneo Retro Mini PC. This latest technology from the company looks awfully like the original Mac, but in a smaller and more compact body, meant to connect to external monitors for the computer experience.
Macintosh revolutionized the world of computers, with Apple's iconic PC offering a significant experience for everyone, an all-in-one device without the traditional CPU housing.
Ayaneo Retro Mini PC Looks Like The Original Macintosh
Ayaneo released a long list of new devices in its latest post, unveiling various handheld gaming consoles in different styles and designs, but one of the most captivating developments here is the Retro Mini PC. This is a small CPU, a.k.a. a mini PC, and much like the Mac mini, it needs to be hooked up to an external monitor to deliver what it has to offer the world.
Many companies deliver a mini PC today, and one of the many iconic features they deliver is cost-effectiveness, its small form factor, and its all-in-one experience. The same features are present in Ayaneo's Retro Mini PC.
"As the first product in this series, the Retro Mini PC AM01 pays homage to the revolutionary Macintosh, a product that truly changed the computer industry," said Ayaneo.
How is the Performance of Ayaneo's Retro Mini PC
The Ayaneo Retro Mini PC AM01 is powered by AMD's Ryzen 3 3200U processor, but it is already a five-year-old release. Additionally, it also offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage for $149 (early bird price; originally $199). On the other hand, there is the upgraded version that offers the Ryzen 7 5700U, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB Storage for $379 Early Bird price or $459 for its original.
The Vintage Apple Products in the Modern World
Vintage Apple products are already discontinued, so do not expect to see them from the Cupertino giant anytime soon, but that does not mean that all is lost and users can no longer see this. You can still look back at what made Apple what it is now via collections and auctions, but if that is not part of your budget, marvel at these slideshows of the old tech from the company.
Back in 2015, a Swedish designer known as Love Hultén released his timeless piece known as the "Golden Apple," and it presents the original Macintosh to the world, created for the modern age. It repurposed the original body of the Macintosh 128K into a new color and made it so that it could run a more recent version of the macOS and bring a color screen.
Revivals are massive in this world, and this is because what shaped us in the past is still continuously helping create the developments of the present, as what Ayaneo has debuted in its recent computer. The Ayaneo Retro Mini PC is reminiscent of the original Mac, and it gives a computer that you can hook to external monitors now, but do not expect much power from it.
