The long-running game from Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbox Six Siege, is set to bring a new feature for all, and this is the appearance of its Marketplace that will soon bring customization features in-game. New revelations claim that it will first be launched via a beta testing phase for gamers that will launch soon, but its public availability will soon arrive by its next massive update.
Year 8 Season 4 update is here, and it details the latest the company has to offer gamers, amidst its upcoming expansion with the Marketplace.
Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace Beta is Coming Soon
Year 8 Season 3's Mid-Season Roadmap Update brings forth the latest Rainbow Six Siege offers for Y8S4 expectations, but it brings another important announcement regarding the Marketplace service coming soon.
According to ComicBook Gaming, the Marketplace will offer gamers a chance to purchase goods like skins, setting up a new customization feature for the in-game experience.
It is also noteworthy that this will center on the R6 Credits which gamers may only utilize for the game's purchases, but according to the report, there might soon be a way to use this outside of Rainbow Six Siege. For now, there is still limited information about how the new Marketplace would work, especially now that the beta will soon launch for gamers to experience.
Rainbow Six Siege's Marketplace: What to Expect?
Users interested in joining the beta would have to sign up using their Ubisoft account on the dedicated Marketplace Beta page, and this process would give them access to this new service. It is important to note that the Marketplace would be available outside the game, particularly via the mobile and web browser platforms.
Moreover, this experience would allow gamers to buy and sell skins as they see fit, with these accessible via Rainbow Six Siege.
It is also expected that the Marketplace would be widely available by Year 9.
Rainbow Six Siege and Ubisoft
Since 2015, the main first-person shooter experience from the renowned Tom Clancy franchise has been the mainstay, with Rainbow Six Siege seeing significant developments until the present. It is also known for delivering massive crossovers with pop culture entities, including a previous Rick and Morty collaboration that offered the famed Adult Swim characters.
This year, Rainbow Six Siege is in its eighth year in the industry, with Year 8 offering many upgrades and improvements for the game from Ubisoft. Apart from new crossovers and content for each passing season, Ubisoft and Ubisoft Montreal centered on targeting "AFKers," or those who leave games that bring an unfair advantage to the opposing teams.
Ubisoft may have managed Rainbow Six Siege for eight years and counting, but it is not yet done with what it has to offer, with the game claimed to still be expecting its Year 9 update next year. Soon, a Marketplace and its beta testing phase will arrive for gamers, offering mobile and web purchases for all customization needs, enhancing more of its experiences.
