Apple's Steve Wozniak Hospitalized, Possible Stroke as Cause

Steve Wozniak, as per Reuters, could have possibly suffered a stroke and was then hospitalized in Mexico. Another report by TMZ on the matter states that the Apple co-founder sustained what appears to be vertigo after being hospitalized.

Reuters reports that the 73-year-old IT entrepreneur and scientist was supposed to speak at a World Business Forum gathering in the Santa Fe district of the Mexican capital. The event organizers did not immediately answer a request for comment.

TMZ reports that the Apple co-founder experienced feeling ill and what appears to be vertigo before being hospitalized.

The report indicates that following Wozniak's address at the World Business Forum on Wednesday in Mexico City, he informed his wife he was "feeling strange." He then began showing symptoms that disturbed her, and she insisted he visit the hospital. These details come from sources with "direct knowledge."

Wozniak reportedly objected, insisting he would be well, but his wife persisted and finally demanded he visit the hospital. The report states that the tech giant was assisted to the hospital's emergency room, where doctors performed tests.

Wozniak reportedly needed an urgent MRI and was brought to the ABC Santa Fe hospital in the capital. An ischemic stroke happens when blood clots or other debris obstruct the blood arteries supplying the brain. According to medical authorities, the Apple giant health is now stable.

TMZ reports that several Steve's team members are taking a private plane from the United States to Mexico City to observe "firsthand" what is happening with him and, should it be required, return him to the United States for more medical care.

Bloomberg reports that Wozniak's representatives did not immediately answer a request for comment.

Steve Wozniak's Recent Ventures

Steve Wozniak has also recently attended The Three Seas Generation Freedom Future Leaders Conference 2023 in Poland which saw the 'king of geeks' thrilled to participate in an event that focuses on empowering people on a national, local, and individual level.

Wozniak is most known for his efforts and contributions in starting Apple Computer Corporation alongside his more well-known business partner, the late Steve Jobs, the renowned investor and longtime CEO of Apple, who passed away in 2011.

Wozniak also recently co-founded Privateer, "a global online marketplace that aims to connect customers seeking planetary data with orbiting satellites" to make the hundreds of Earth-observing satellites that are already orbiting the globe far more widely available to the general public, not only governments.

World Business Forum

The event that Wozniak attended before his hospitalization was the World Business Forum (WOBI). This event is described as an event that produces and distributes "the best management media content," thereby helping companies and executives improve organization management.

Other top executives and prominent figures presented during the World Business Forum, according to its website, are renowned author and executive leadership coach Marshall Goldsmith, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, and Nobel Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus.
