The first international AI safety summit will see agreements made favoring humanity amidst the growing AI technology says British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as reported by the Associated Press.
The agreements would reportedly include a "Bletchley Declaration" promising states to address the most serious concerns posed by artificial intelligence, a commitment to evaluate tech corporations' AI models before they are released, and an agreement to convene a global expert council on AI.
The report states that Sunak described the agreements reached by lawmakers, researchers, and business executives as a display of "the political will and the capability to control this technology and secure its long-term benefits."
Reports say that the agreement was signed and agreed to, by "every single nation represented at this summit covering all continents across the globe and including the US and China."
However, it is stated that the governments of the United Kingdom and the United States will establish their own AI safety institutions to conduct such testing and share the results.
The agreement, according to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, is "a landmark achievement that sees the world's greatest AI powers agree on the urgency behind understanding the risks of AI - helping to ensure the long-term future of our children and grandchildren."

Global AI Safety Summits
The first-ever Global AI Safety Summit is a two-day forum for officials, specialists, and the technology sector to better grasp cutting-edge, "frontier" AI, which some scientists worry might endanger humanity's very survival, as per the report.
The summit as per the UK Prime Minister, saw attendees analyzing the most recent research on everything from societal problems like prejudice and disinformation to the hazards of bad actors misusing AI to the most extreme concerns of losing control of AI entirely.
Looking forward, the summit concluded by planning future summits in South Korea and France for next year.
Criticisms Surrounding UK's AI Summit
Despite Sunak lauding at the recent developments during the AI summit, some remained skeptical, with Elon Musk being one of the critics and attendees of the event. The tech mogul posted "Sigh," alongside a cartoon seemingly mocking the politicians and governments' willingness to collaborate.
The summit moreover, reportedly did little to satisfy critics that warned future threats should not outweigh present dangers.
Mary Towers, the Trade Union Congress' employment rights officer previously stated that "we are not saying the government should not address hypothetical future risks but it should not be done at the expense of dealing with existing harms."
The summit also showed little to no sign for a precise regulatory strategy or any advice for a freeze in AI research, which experts including Musk advocated earlier this year.
US has echoed this notion with US Vice President Kamala Harris saying that despite concerns about more distant threats, she warned that "everyday threats" must be disregarded.
