First PS5 Slim Bundle Leak: What Game is Coming with its Nearing Release?

Sony is bundling the new PS5 with a familiar game.

The PlayStation 5 Slim is probably one of the most anticipated drops coming this Holiday season, particularly this November, and an online source already spotted a game bundle that it will allegedly launch with on its release. Apart from being sold as standalone, consoles also rack up interest from gamers and fans depending on the game that comes with it, giving a small discount for the title.

A tweet from a user called Zuby Tech has leaked the first-ever reported bundle coming with the PlayStation 5 Slim, also known as the New PlayStation 5 from Sony. The new console will soon arrive with the renowned game from Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, following last year's release of Modern Warfare II which was also bundled with the regular PS5.

While there are no indications in its box that it is the "PS5 Slim" or the "all-new PlayStation 5," the size difference can be seen, with the new console being significantly shorter compared to the original 2020 design of the console.

Besides it, the bundle for the latest Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was shown, with the new console looking shorter compared to the OG.

What to Expect from the New PS5?

Sony's new PS5 models are coming this November, and the best indication that this is its latest release is the four-panel covers on the console, coming from both of its sides. The original PS5 only has two-panel covers for both left and right.

It is unknown if the new PS5 Slim will feature a better performance compared to the original one, and Sony is best known for releasing mid-gen refreshes for its consoles, with 2016's PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro, released three years after the regular one.

PlayStation and Call of Duty

For a long time now, Call of Duty has been an important franchise that was initially one of the top exclusive games of PlayStation, with the franchise regarded to their console, as Halo is to Xbox. The last Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II release from 2022 was best known for being a bundled game available to the PS5, previously offering it to those looking to buy both the game and console.

However, there was a massive complaint from Sony regarding Activision Blizzard's acquisition, as it was led by its gaming rival, Microsoft. It was initially regarded by Sony that Microsoft would port "broken" Call of Duty games to the PlayStation, with the famous action-shooter franchise favoring Xbox more.

Despite this, Sony and Microsoft have agreed to a 10-year deal to keep Call of Duty in the PlayStation.

Sony has secured Call of Duty for the PlayStation until the next decade, and the world is happy with this decision as COD has always had a home in the Japanese gaming consoles, apart from the PC. The first reported PS5 Slim bundle will feature Activision Blizzard's next AAA-rated game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, coming when Sony drops the new consoles available for purchase.
