A new social app has surfaced, offering a welcome fresh change in a world where social media platforms often teem with hate speech and unattainable beauty standards. Annapolis native Austin Anderson launched Daylyy, a photo-sharing social app, to change the social media landscape.
Daylyy, introduced in 2022, has amassed over 47,000 users in more than 100 countries in a surprisingly short period, demonstrating the need for a more genuine and accepting substitute for conventional social networking platforms.
"Life is not a highlight real," according to Daylyy co-founder and CEO Austin Anderson, as quoted by WMAR News.
The platform makes a daring move in contrast to many other well-known social networking applications by removing the ability to post filtered or altered photographs from your camera roll and only enabling users to capture photos in real-time.
By removing the obligation to provide an image and message that are picture-perfect, this strategy encourages people to be themselves.
