HONOR's latest innovation, the Magic Vs2, takes the world of foldable smartphones by storm. The new handset from the Magic V lineup boasts remarkable features and a sleek design, but is it better than Magic V2?
HONOR Magic Vs2 Looks Like V2
With the arrival of HONOR's third foldable handset of 2023, fans are thinking if getting Vs2 is worth their money.
Just in time for the company's announcement about the new smartphone, let's first know its features before you purchase it sooner.
According to Android Headlines, the Magic Vs2 bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor, the Magic V2, featuring slim bezels and a display camera hole on both its screens.
On the rear, the three vertically-aligned cameras maintain the iconic look of the Magic V2.
It should be noted that Magic Vs2 has a higher-grade chipset thanks to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. In comparison, the Magic V2 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, making the Vs2 a compelling choice for tech enthusiasts.
When it comes to dimensions of the Magic Vs2, it measures 157.5 x 146.2 x 5.1mm in its unfolded form. When you fold it, it instantly shrinks to 157.5 x 74.4 x 10.7mm.
In actuality, it only weighs 229 grams despite being just slightly thicker than Magic V2 upon being folded. This alone makes it more ideal for people who want to aim for portability.
Ample RAM and Storage Options
The Magic Vs2 offers two enticing variants with 12GB and 16GB of RAM. These configurations come with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, ensuring that you have ample space for all your multimedia needs.
On top of that, the Magic Vs2 boasts two captivating displays. The main 7.92-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz LTPO display, a 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and HDR10+ support ensures a mesmerizing visual experience. It reaches a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits.
The external 6.43-inch OLED display with fullHD+ resolution (2376 x 1060) and similar features provides convenience and versatility, with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.
For its rear part, HONOR gives it a 50-MP main cameraM, a 12-MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, with a macro option), and a 20-MP telephoto unit (2.5x optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture).
It's important to know that it's perfectly suited for mobile videography and photography with the help of its 16-MP front camera.
For its battery, a robust 5,000mAh battery powers the device complemented by 66W wired charging support to ensure that you spend less time plugged in and more time enjoying your device.
Based on GSM Arena's report, the Magic Vs2 has pre-installed Android 13 and Magic UI 7.2 which paves the way for a smooth and updated user experience. It also incorporates Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, and two SIM card slots for versatile connectivity options.
Color Availability and Pre-Order
HONOR's Magic Vs2 comes in three distinct color options: Coral Purple (plain leather), Glacier Blue (feather fiber), and Velvet Black (feather fiber), allowing users to express their style preferences.
As of writing, the Magic Vs2 is now available for pre-order in China, and while its global launch remains uncertain, its predecessor's success suggests a promising future for this remarkable foldable smartphone.
