The future is online, and Sony has recently announced the official rollout of its cloud streaming experience coming to PlayStation Plus Premium users, leveraging the PS5 games for all to access. Instead of downloading the games available in the PS Plus library like before, users may now immediately jump into various titles for their enjoyment, with its only requirement being strong internet connections.
Massive titles, including the "top PS5 hits" are available to access, with an extensive solution available for all to experience alongside its many perks.
Sony PS Plus Premium Cloud Streaming is Here
Sony announced via the PlayStation Blog that its PS Plus Premium subscribers are set to receive its first foray into cloud gaming, allowing selected titles to stream to their console. Before this, gamers would have to wait for their downloads to finish and the game to install on their respective PlayStation 5 before they can access it, but with the cloud, it is now available instantaneously.
First off, Sony is offering select titles of the PS5 to arrive at the service but is planning to expand this more in the future with hundreds of games accessible for all.
There is also a new experience called "Game Trials" where the latest AAA-rated titles will be available to test a limited part of its story, with titles including Hogwarts Legacy, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and The Callisto Protocol. DLCs for each game are also available to purchase.
PS5's Top Games in the PS Plus Cloud
One of the main highlights of this is the arrival of the "Top PS5 Hits" to the cloud streaming service including games like Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, Mortal Kombat 11, and Saints Row IV.
Moreover, various PS5 digital titles in both the free and paid tiers are available for streaming, including Resident Evil 4, Dead Island 2, Genshin Impact, Fall Guys, and Fortnite.
Sony's Massive Offers in Streaming
Sony has made its PlayStation Plus titles available for all to enjoy, exclusive to its consoles, with the company best known for adding a monthly roster of new games. For the longest time, the three to four games that were made available each month are only for downloading, meaning that subscribers need to wait for a certain period for it to complete and install before they can access it.
There are different tiers in Sony's PlayStation Plus, offering various experiences to access depending on one's budget, with these made available in North America. This service features both modern and classic games, with massive selections from the past Sony consoles available like the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and the PSP, all accessible via the service.
While the subscription is already extensive, Sony has found a way to leverage the experience better for its subscribers and users, particularly for the PlayStation. Cloud streaming is the future, with Microsoft's Xbox having massive access to it, and now PlayStation Plus Premium joining the charge towards immediate access to games, enjoying the top PS5 games instantaneously.
