The renowned wearable smartwatch from Tim Cook, the Apple Watch, is set to see the "X" version a.k.a. the tenth release will come by either 2024 or 2025, depending on Cupertino's timeline. However, there are varying reports from renowned insiders and analysts, particularly as one claims, that it will see a dramatic overhaul.
Ming-Chi Kuo, another renowned Apple analyst, argues otherwise, particularly as Apple is not set to release massive changes for next year.
Apple Watch X is Coming in 2024 or 2025
It is currently unknown when the Apple Watch X will arrive, if Apple is following the timeline, it should be out by next year, but report details are varying now. The latest spill came from renowned insider, Ming-Chi Kuo, who recently claimed that next year's Apple Watch will not see massive changes on its release.
In the latest report, Kuo said that the 2024 Apple Watch will not feature micro LED, also it would "unlikely have significant innovative experiences."
This 2024 version will also not have the much-awaited blood glucose or blood sugar monitoring feature, something that has been one of the top features from speculations.
Kuo: Apple Watch X in 2024 is Not It
Kuo's report only suggests one thing, and this is the Apple Watch X is not coming next year but speculates a massive change to micro LED by 2025. This could mean that this tenth release of the watch is coming in less than two years.
This puts a more concrete timeline compared to Bloomberg's earlier report that it is coming by 2024 or 2025, packed with the massive upgrades to come with it.
Apple Watch Developments and Tech
Since the Apple Watch's release in 2015, the device continued to see updates and innovations annually, with the company making it one of the mainline technologies available to the world. It saw massive developments throughout the years, seeing as many as three versions of the smartwatch including the original one, the Apple Watch SE version, and the Apple Watch Ultra.
In this year's release, the Fall Event 2023 revealed the latest Apple Watch Series 9, and it was initially speculated that the Cupertino giant would skip this release. This was because it was thought that it would follow the iPhone's direction where it skipped the iPhone 9, going straight to its massive overhaul to the iPhone X.
The Apple Watch development is a regular one, and it saw notable changes throughout the years, but not much of a revamp or overhaul to the renowned tech. Kuo said that next year's release will not feature massive upgrades, and it is speculated that this is not the Apple Watch X, if this is true, the world might see the tenth edition arrive by 2025.
