Blucap Moto has introduced a cutting-edge solution tailored explicitly for motorcycle riders: navigational augmented reality (AR) sunglasses.
According to NewAtlas, despite their unassuming appearance, these sunglasses boast seamless wireless connectivity with a handlebar-mounted remote and a companion iOS/Android application on the user's smartphone. Once the user picks the destination on the app, they simply put the glasses on and embark on their journey.

When approaching intersections necessitating a turn, a MicroLED display projects a directional arrow onto the interior of the right-hand lens, swiftly vanishing after the turn is executed.
Users can conveniently press a button on the remote to quickly check their location on a street map, revealing a monochrome map segment with their position clearly indicated.
Additionally, the application can display incoming calls, messages, and speed limit notifications. Calls can be answered seamlessly using a paired third-party Bluetooth headset.
With a simple and clutter-free design, Blucap Moto's creation features no physical buttons or controls. The glasses activate and instantly connect with the phone or remote upon unfolding their arms.
Equipped with an integrated lithium battery, they offer approximately 10 hours of uninterrupted usage on a single charge. The remote's button cell batteries are anticipated to last around six months per pair.
This innovative eyewear enhances navigation by displaying turn indicators precisely when needed, effortlessly reverting to standard sunglasses after traversing intersections.
The real-time map, integral to the user's line of sight, ensures comprehensive navigation, even in complex and challenging road conditions. Effortless control of the map is facilitated by a specially designed handlebar remote equipped with a dedicated map button.
Facilitated by Bluetooth connectivity, the Blucap Moto application seamlessly integrates map SDK from industry giants such as Google Maps and MapBox, providing a feature-rich and intuitive navigation experience.
The application boasts a user-friendly interface and encompasses all essential functionalities crucial for riders. Riders can swiftly transition from Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze to the dedicated Blucap Moto application.
