New York-based Freight ArchitectTM and NVOCC Jaguar Freight has announced that it has recruited two fractional executives to guide the organization as it seeks to grow its business by 10X over a 10-year period.

In most smaller organizations, the human resources function is typically led in a concurrent capacity by a head of a different department. According to Jaguar Freight CEO Simon Kaye, this was handled in the company by the Vice President of Finance. However, with Jaguar Freight looking to grow its headcount, the company wants to bring in an expert by hiring a fractional Director of HR. Additionally, Jaguar Freight is a 100% remote company, with a workforce distributed across different areas of the US. With varying labor regulations among states, the company will need the expertise of someone who specializes in human resources to navigate this complicated situation. To find the right fractional Director of HR, who will start in September, Jaguar Freight partnered with Impact HR , a company that specializes in innovative and tech-enabled HR solutions.

On the technology side, Jaguar Freight has hired a fractional Chief Information Officer (CIO) through Fortium Partners, a "technology leadership-as-a-service platform" that provides access to technology executives who have held senior and C-suite roles in large Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 organizations. The new CIO will begin working with Jaguar Freight in October.

As a technology-based organization, both internally and externally, Jaguar Freight will benefit tremendously from having access to a veteran technology executive who would otherwise be out of its reach, if not for the fractional C-suite model. The company is working to expand its CyberChainTM technology suite to encompass its entire operations, as well as automating various areas of its business to provide a seamless experience to its customers.

According to Kaye, the fractional route gives the company access to competencies that would ordinarily be unable to afford on a full-time basis. The model is also great for smaller and rapidly growing organizations, such as Jaguar, because there are no long term commitments that could restrict their agility. Both Fortium Partners and HR Impact are part of Jaguar's extensive network of inter-industry partners, which it leverages to bring mutual benefit to all parties - itself, its partners, and their customers. This is part of Jaguar Freight's key differentiator, which is its exceptional level of service to clients.

Having recently marked its 30th year in business, Jaguar Freight announced its Big Hairy Audacious Goal (B'HAG) of growing the company 10X over 10 years.

"We define that not only as growing profits by 10 times, but also growing our customer retention to an average of 10 years, and having an average employee tenure of 10 years," Kaye says. "We recently celebrated our 30th anniversary, so obviously we have some longevity, but we want to further strengthen that base. As a business owner, I feel a huge responsibility to my employees to provide a company where they can grow and provide for their families. Everything we do is to ensure long-term success for the staff, our clients, and the business as an entity."
