What would you do if you were named after Siri?
A fitness trainer in Scotland is being forced to change her name to a different name following the iOS 17's update with Apple's AI assistant.
The 26-year-old woman from Edinburgh has a beautiful name, but now she gets annoyed every time someone says Siri.
Woman Forced to Change Her Name Because of Siri
In a report written by AppleInsider, a woman named "Siri" becomes a center of controversy following an iOS 17 update.
Because the latest iOS no longer requires iPhone users to say "Hey" when commanding Siri, it becomes a hurdle for Siri Price to cope with the changes.
"I work in a gym with a lot of people around, so everyone learned quite quickly not to say 'Hey' when they greet me or there would be a lot of bleeping going on. It was annoying but manageable," Price told The Sun.
Every time you want to instruct Siri, you don't have to say "Hey" anymore. Just speaking Siri alone will work like a charm.
Because of this, Price finds this "absolutely fuming" since her friends and other people can't even say her name in front of her.
Price adds that the following day, her boyfriend updated his iPhone. He noticed that every time he said Siri, the device would eventually wake up.
This is becoming a struggle not just for Price, but also for her workmates who are continuously thinking of a solution to stop their phones from beeping.

How Did Siri Price Come Up With a Solution?
In another story from The New York Post, Price urged the people to just call her "Siz" instead of Siri.
The name Siri came from an Old Norse name which means "beautiful woman who leads you to victory." Although it sounds so archaic, now is the time for Siz to turn things around.
Amazon Alexa is Another Annoyance
To think that Apple's Siri is the only cause of annoyance to some people, you're wrong. In fact, Amazon's AI assistant Alexa is also causing the same headache.
In an interview with BBC, Lauren Johnson says that Alexa gives people a signal to treat other people named Alexa in a "subservient manner." Lauren's child was also named Alexa.
There was a significant campaign that people wanted to happen. The so-called movement "Alexa is Human" urged Amazon to change the name of the voice assistant so other humans can live without experiencing discrimination from others.
