The Bored Ape Singapore Club recently hosted the NFT gathering of the year, 'APEHOUSE - ALL ABORED', which took place on 13th September, aboard Singapore's largest yacht, the Star of the Sea. The event gathered over 300 attendees, uniting both local and international Web3 experts and enthusiasts for networking and an immersive educational experience on the latest blockchain landscape.
The event welcomed special guests from Yuga Labs, renowned for their groundbreaking work in blockchain technology and the crypto industry, including popular NFT collections such as CryptoPunks, Meebits, and 10KTF. The event also featured a keynote address by Daniel Alegre, the CEO of Yuga Labs, and former Google Global Retail, Shopping, and Payments President, who brought his wealth of experience from overseeing international franchises such as Call of Duty®, World of Warcraft®, Diablo®, and Candy CrushTM.
Conceptualised by Bored Ape Singapore Club council member Jaye Foo, this marked the 6th edition of the event, with Yuga Labs as the title sponsor. The gathering also boasted a roster of over 30 sponsors, including some of the most notable names in the industry.
Special guests at the event included Champ Medici (Snoop Dogg's son), Russell Simmons (Co-Founder of Def Jam Records), Korean Rapper YunB, and other prominent DJs. In alignment with the premier crypto event Token2049, 'APEHOUSE - ALL ABORED' brought together these influential figures who are actively expanding their businesses and interests into the Web3 space.
"From the start, our goal with 'APEHOUSE - ALL ABORED' has been simple: to connect industry experts with our community, fostering networks, and shedding light on the exciting possibilities of Web3 and NFTs. We're aware of public concerns about liability and regulations, and our mission goes beyond just talking about Web3; it's about educating and raising awareness. After navigating the 'Crypto Winter,' a period marked by market uncertainty, this event signals that the Web3 space is not just surviving but thriving. This event is significant for Singapore as we anticipate the regulation of the crypto market in the years ahead. This underscores our commitment to nurturing a vibrant and responsible crypto ecosystem, not only in Singapore but also beyond," said Jaye Foo, Musician & Founder of Bored Island Group.
Following the event to foster collaborations that will further strengthen the growth of the Web3 industry, Jaye is also looking at venturing further into the lifestyle space. In collaboration with NFT collectors from the Bored Ape Yacht Club, Jaye's brand, Bored & Boozy, is set to make a splash with its highly anticipated craft beer and wine series: "The Baby Ape Ale," "The Lager," and "The Salted Plum."
In particular, "The Baby Ape Ale'' has its sights set on being featured at Apefest in November, the official Bored Ape Yacht Club event scheduled to take place in Hong Kong this year. Each of these craft beers boasts a distinct flavour profile and is 100% brewed in Singapore.
These brews were exclusively available at the 'APEHOUSE - ALL ABORED' event, which were served alongside "Bored & Hungry" burgers, Jaye's NFT-inspired burger brand, making them a unique and sought-after addition to the Apehouse experience.
With NFTs poised for a comeback, Jaye is also fronting a new tech initiative, Wush. Positioned as the entry point to Web3, Wush functions as a comprehensive search engine, directory, and aggregator for this rapidly evolving domain. The platform stands out for its rigorous vetting procedures and educational resources to inform users.
