Tesla's relaunched referral program offers free cars to encourage test drives and sales of the electric vehicle (EV) pioneer's vehicles and energy supplies.
The Tesla referral program has long been used to grow its owner base. The program made a victorious comeback in November 2022 after a short break, now providing even more opportunities to earn reward points, such as recommendations connected to test drives.
Win a Tesla Model 3 Performance
Tesla is updating its referral program's benefits and possible prizes in an attempt to increase participation, thereby enticing people to share their referral codes and earn points. These points may then be used to join contests for alluring rewards, like a brand-new automobile.
The chance to win a Model 3 Performance for 1,000 credits is one of the Tesla referral program's most notable updates. Tesla owners may enter more than once to increase their chances of winning this desirable reward, according to Teslarati.
On its official website, Tesla also announced that starting on September 19, 2023, everyone who refers a friend who orders a new Tesla car and receives it by September 30, 2023, will automatically be entered to win a Model 3 Performance. One may redeem more entries for greater chances to win the more referral credits they have accumulated.
Cybertruck Raffle Changes
Tesla has also modified its ongoing Cybertruck raffle as part of the referral program. Previously, 500 points used to be required for participants to get a raffle ticket for the cost-free Cybertruck, according to Investing.com. The company has now increased the threshold to 1,000 points, however. The winning prize is still alluring since it grants the winner "one of the first Cybertruck VINs off the line-—no reservation needed, free of charge."
With the Tesla referral program, the EV manufacturer has already entered the world of giving away cars for free. Previously, Tesla promised to give a lucky referral to a Model Y every three months, per Drive Tesla Canada. The winners were not publicly announced, but several spoke out, praising Elon Musk's EV manufacturing company for staying true to its pledges.
