Overcharging is one way to deteriorate the battery of any device using it. With this new feature from the iPhone 15, Apple smartphone users get an extra "security blanket" for battery care.
Apple's iPhone 15 Would Stop Charging Past 80%
MacRumors now confirmed that Apple added a battery health control to the iPhone 15 series, allowing users to set their preferences on how to charge their smartphones.
Instead of the Optimized Battery Charging feature that continues until it fully replenishes the power cell, there is now an option to keep it at 80 percent and stop charging.
This feature is also found on Samsung's smartphones, stopping any further charging for the battery despite plugging in the power connector.
