The Wonderlust event from Apple concluded, and it brought a significant introduction of the latest smartphone from Apple, with the iPhone 15 Pro series shining the brightest in the spotlight. This lineup is the most advanced smartphone from Apple now, and it is feature-packed, but deciding on upgrading to the new smartphone should be carefully considered.
There are many reasons as to why you should upgrade to a new smartphone, but the iPhone 15 Pro gives massive key factors that may make you want to switch.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro's Titanium Body
Leaks and speculators were fast to act on the iPhone 15 Pro's body, as earlier claims that it would feature a Titanium finish, alongside a rounded body for the new smartphone. However, only one made it to the current release, and thankfully, it is the Titanium build for the device.
Apple introduced the iPhone 15 Pro with one of the top premium features for the device, with Titanium known for its durability and lightweight features that are surely factoring in a massive upgrade from its aluminum build from the iPhone 14 Pro.
Cupertino's top feature on the iPhone 15 Pro's landing page on its website is the Titanium, boasting of an aerospace-grade titanium design that is both stylish and functional.
Action Button
Change is good in selected experiences, and this is something that Apple has done for the iconic mute switch of the iPhones since it was first introduced in 2007.
While it bids farewell to this beloved hardware, it sees the Action Button on the side which is highly programmable into different features including the Ringer, Camera, Flashlight, Voice Memo, Translate, Magnifier, Shortcut, and Accessibility.
This hardware shortcut that users can designate to their preferred iPhone function will not only make things easier but also have something that they can press for various functions since Apple removed the Home Button.
All-In for Silicon: A17 Pro
Apple's press release for the iPhone 15 Pro series boasts of its special Silicon chip which it calls the A17 Pro, a dedicated one for its flagship devices, and is different from the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus' A16.
First and foremost, this is the best-performing chip in Apple's mobile experiences now, featuring a 3nm size that boasts better capabilities.
Its CPU is 10 percent faster, the Neural Engine is 2x faster, and it also delivers a pro-class GPU that is up by 20 percent with its 6-core design, maximizing smartphone gaming's potential.
USB 3 (USB-C)
One of the largest and most hyped changes on the iPhone is USB-C, but Apple takes it up a notch for the iPhone 15 Pro as it features USB 3, a connection that brings more for users to do on the device.
The iPhone 15 Pro is like a portable computer with USB 3, as it can directly connect to 4K monitors, read and write data from USB-C flash drives, data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, bidirectional charging, and more. The only catch is that the iPhone 15 Pro's box does not come with USB 3.
iPhone 15 Pro Camera
Well, it would not be a renowned iPhone without a massive camera update.
The iPhone 15 Pro yet again upgrades the device's camera with better capabilities, including shooting ProRAW or ProRES photos and videos that they can directly offload to the Mac or SSDs via USB 3. It also features a spatial video that could capture 3D, one that users can share with the Vision Pro.
It remains at 48MP, but it features a more capable 120mm lens for its optical zoom, automatic Portrait mode, and multiple focal lengths to choose from.
