Nintendo Quickly Fixes NBA 2k24 Switch Glitch That Allowed Users to Buy It for $1

Nintendo might have detected an unusual number of Switch players flocking in Peruvian eShop.

An influx of NBA 2K24 Black Mamba Edition buyers were once pooling on the Peru Nintendo Switch eShop. The incident surprisingly changed the price of the $100 to just $1.

The fun lasted for some players who took advantage of the discounted price. However, the Big N has already fixed the glitch, but it hasn't addressed the reason why it happened in the first place.

No NBA 2K24 Price Glitch Anymore

The NBA 2K24 Black Mamba edition glitch lasted for quite a long time that many players managed to buy it for only $1. 2K Games

According to Gameishard.gg, the glitch took social media by storm and it quickly forced many Switch users to immediately change their current region to Peru.

In changing the eShop region, players can exploit the glitch. Other regions retain the price, but the Peruvian eShop is different.

As of writing, Nintendo has not yet solved the issue as to why the NBA 2K24 Black Mamba edition glitch took place.

Just a day after the incident happened, the $1 Black Mamba edition sports game became the third top-selling game on Switch, according to Sportskeeda. This did not come as a surprise to many gamers.

Not a First-Time Glitch For Nintendo Switch eShop

The NBA 2K25 glitch is not the first instance that shocked the Switch platform. Nintendo has previously encountered the same glitch on the platform but on a different game.

Back in 2022, the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition was released on eShop at a very low price. However, for players to purchase it, they need to change their current region to India.

Nintendo and 2K Sports remain tight-lipped about the recent incident so we never know what consequences are waiting for the developer or staff who posted the pricing error.

This came unexpected for others who are hoping to get NBA 2K24 at a discounted price. Regardless, it's a win-win situation for all gamers especially NBA fans who have been playing the game since the early days on Atari, PlayStation, and other consoles.

Victor Wembanyama Glitch in NBA 2K24

Enough discussion about the pricing error of NBA 2K24 and let's now head to the in-game bug that already sent more players laughing in the corner.

According to My San Antonio, there's a funny glitch involving rookie Victor Wembanyama. When the 7-footer French man dunks on the ring, he does not get down anymore. Instead, he just hilariously spins non-stop as if he's a human cartwheel hugging the basketball ring.

The 33-second clip from @dhubgaming which was re-uploaded by NBA Memes on X, shows that when Wemby's teammates went down in transition, he just dangled on the ring and dunked like an alien.

The most comedic part of the clip is the basket interference call of the referee. This means that Wembanyama's bizarre dunking did disrupt the shooting of his teammate, resulting in the opponent's ball possession.
