4 September 2023, Singapore - Decentralised Gaming Ventures (DGV), a web3 venture builderfocused on accelerating growth through IP integration and digital ownership in games, announces the addition of two strategic hires to its dynamic team. Joseph Young and Alvyn Ng will be joining DGV, as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Senior Marketing Manager respectively.
In his role as CIO, Young will work closely alongside DGV's CEO, Samson Oh and COO, Derrick Sim as a co-founder. Young will be instrumental in acquiring promising web3 game studios, driving further fundraising rounds, and sharing his wealth of blockchain protocol, tokenisation and NFT-related experience with the wider team. Ng, as Senior Marketing Manager, will drive DGV's publisher marketing efforts, setting the community management direction and leading go-to-market plans across its portfolio. These strategic appointments follow on from the web3 venture builder announcing a seven-figure investment round in June.
Young was the former Senior Associate at HASHED and makes the move from the venture capital firm, where he managed a portfolio of 40 gaming companies. Ng, with over nine years of experience, joins from Garena, where he successfully ran campaigns for one of the biggest-grossing games in the region.
