Google Workspace users can soon use the newest Duet AI assistant. It's been a while since the company's AI-powered tool underwent tests and finally it's time to use it by the customers.
Google Duet AI Goes Public
According to The Verge, Google first dropped the details about the Duet AI Assistant Suite during the I/O developer conference back in May 2023.
The search engine giant touts it as a "helpful collaborator" that can work with Workspace apps. You can use it with Google Sheets to plot the data in the spreadsheet. You can also utilize the tool if you want to highlight some points on the Docs app.
Overall, Duet AI is a creative tool that can allow you to inspect your grammar and generate photos like any other AI-powered software.
App-specific features are called "Duet" for a reason since it's usable within the Cloud platform of the company.
Google says that in late 2023, it will bring a brand-new AI experience for Duet that will let people analyze data in a more collaborative manner.
Aside from that, the company adds that the same tool is arriving in Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, and Google's fully managed database service, Alloy DB.
Apart from that, it's also expected to enter the Database Migration Service or DMS to aid in data migration to the Cloud from a third-party source.

Duet AI Problems
While Google's Duet AI Assistant Suite has finally expanded in the Cloud Workspace, it still has some limitations that every user needs to know.
Based on TechCrunch's report, there was a Stanford study that suggests that code-generating AI tools can likely attract security issues within the apps.
Another thing is that Duet AI could potentially strike a copyright issue which could extend to the other codes.
According to a majority of legal experts, generative AI software is posing a huge risk to companies who might stumble upon copyrighted suggestions generated by the tools.
To solve this, Google will cite the sources that Duet AI will suggest for the codes. This would also be the key to addressing the privacy problems that customers might experience.
How Much is Duet AI Access?
As per The Verge, you need to pay $30 per month to have access to Google's Duet AI. However, Workspace's boss Aparna Pappu said that no final pricings are made for smaller teams, per CNBC.
Speaking of AI, a team of researchers developed an AI model that can alter the individual's age in images. This is possible while retaining their original facial features.
According to the study, this AI model can pull off transformations that preserve a person's distinct identity. The data is collected from thousands of photos from many years ago up to the present.
