A fresh leak about the rumored Nintendo Switch 2 has arisen following new information from a mysterious tipster on X.
According to tipster Jonathan Bark, the Japanese gaming giant will ditch the "Switch" brand for its upcoming console. Instead, it will be named "Nintendo Focus."
From Nintendo Switch 2 to Nintendo Focus
In a new report released by Notebookcheck, an unverified leaker from X social media has posted an update about the Nintendo Switch.
According to Bark, Nintendo Focus will be the next branding for the purported Switch 2 console. In the same tweet, he adds that he will share more details and videos about it unless the company will stop him.
Dropping Switch Will Be a Bold Move For Nintendo
Looking back at the past Nintendo consoles, the company will unlikely drop the famous name tied to one of its popular gaming products.
For instance, Nintendo used the Wii name again for the next two consoles. If what Bark is saying is true, this could be considered as the boldest move that Big N will ever make for this year.

Leaker Claims Nintendo Focus Will Have VR Features
Another story from Tom's Guide says that the Nintendo Focus will have VR capabilities. However, no matter how promising it may sound, Bark did not care to explain what it truly offered to the new console.
Entering the world of virtual reality could surprise many Nintendo fans who are just hoping to see the next iteration of Switch. Still, it's too early to say if the company will take this track or not.
The Nintendo Focus will allegedly include new titles on the platform including a new "Mario Kart" and "Relno Ramen Warrior," a 3D platformer perfect for co-op gamers.
The same leaker also shares that Nintendo will release "Arms 2" and "F-Zero Titans" which are allegedly debuting in 2025. These will all be available on Nintendo Focus.
Almost all Switch users hope that backward compatibility will be a thing for the new console. The tipster says that this feature will be carried out, but a $2.99 transfer fee is required to be paid per game.
Having said that, Bark claims that Nintendo won't stick to the tradition of PS5 and Xbox Series X which offers to play backward-compatible games with no extra cost.
Although the newest leak sounds so fake, we won't be sure if it's a hit-or-miss thing for every fan.
