LG and Amazon have joined forces to introduce the Amazon Luna cloud-based game streaming service to LG's line of smart TVs. This collaboration aims to offer users an enhanced gaming experience on LG smart TV models launched between 2021 and 2023, running webOS 6.0 or later.
"We are excited to announce that starting today, Amazon Luna is now available on LG's 2021-2023 Smart TV models (webOS6.0/22/23) in the US, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom," Amazon said in a blog post.
Amazon Luna App on LG Smart TVs
In the blog post, Amazon announced the availability of the Amazon Luna app on LG smart TVs in the United States, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
This strategic partnership allows LG smart TV owners to conveniently access their favorite games directly from the Home Screen Game Card on 2023 LG Smart TVs or by downloading the Luna app from the LG Content Store on LG Smart TVs from 2021 to 2022.
For Amazon Prime members, the Amazon Luna app provides access to a rotating selection of titles, including popular games like "Fortnite," at no additional cost.
However, those interested in a broader range of games, including titles like "Sonic Mania Plus," "Resident Evil 2," and "Lego DC Super Villains," can opt for a Luna+ subscription, priced at $9.99 per month.
The collaboration between LG and Amazon reflects LG's ongoing commitment to gaming innovation. The inclusion of the Amazon Luna app on LG smart TVs offers users diverse options for playing their favorite games.
The Luna+ subscription provides access to a comprehensive library of games spanning various genres. Furthermore, users can connect their Ubisoft accounts to play select Ubisoft PC games they already own.
Additionally, Ubisoft+ Multi Access offers access to beloved AAA titles, while Jackbox Games provides a selection of popular games suitable for family entertainment.
